How do you spell it? I ask this because I am noticing with more frequency that people are spelling it "Hallowe'en." So I'm jus wonderin' how you folks spell it. _________________ I do not like this username at all. |

I've never seen it with the spare punctuation, and I'm not really sure if it's a foreign spelling or a contraction. And if it's a contraction, I surely don't know what it's contracting. I'm pretty sure it's a contraction for Hallowed Eve. It's a german holiday where all the saints are supposed to come out of their graves. The eve before all the "bad people" rise from their graves. but they're gone by morning. close. it's not a contraction for Hallowed Eve(because that would be hallowe've). It's a contraction for 'All-Hallows-Even'. Same thing. tomato tomato. GODBLESS -nicholas |
