Chauntelle sweated so much during that show...so did Sherri...and everyone one else in that hell hole. I didn't even sweat that much at the yeah yeah yeahs show I went to a few months ago and I was running jumping yelling screaming the whole show. Good times. Bad thing is I doubt they'll go back there because of the temp...at least they put Kansas City and Lawrence in the same catigory and really the only other venue for Eisley in Lawrence would be the Granada and they best not even think about that. Kansas City is better anyways. Hopefully they play the GRAND EMPORIUM for the next tour (it's about five blocks away from where I live). |

That wasn't the most comfortable venue, but it was far from the worst venue. I can't imagine Eisley won't be hitting either KC or Lawrence on the next tour. While we're on the topic of KC/Lawrence venues, does anybody care to give me a run down of the pros and cons of various 300-1200 capacity venues in that area? Sometimes we have some input over which venues we go to, so its nice to have some info ahead of time. -Mark |

Your dad no doubt thinks that's a cigarette in Chauntelle's hand, and is glad you're hanging out with the Cool Kids. _________________ Scriptozoology, a screenwriting blog .. Facebook |

patrock wrote: Puh-leez boi. The Granada is nice. I like it a lot. It is, but every show I've been to didn't allow pictures (watched who knows how many peopple thrown out for flashing one shot) and the stage is just at the right level so that if your in the front row (when the gates aren't up) you get those great stage hip bruises, but I don't think at Eisley concerts we have to worry too much about the crowd rushing the stage when they walk on. And yeah, besides the heat (which I'm sure they've fixed), The Bottleneck is a great venue. Grand Emporium in KC is good. Eisley played the Beaumont with NFG (not my favorite venue in the area). but the best of every venue I've been to in that area would have to be.... The Uptown. (it may be a too big, but better to have a few unsold tickets than turning away people who want to see them (a lot up here)) http://www.uptowntheater.com |
