 Post subject: *EDIT!* We should plan some show of power on release dayPosted: Sat Dec 09, 2006 10:31 am 
It's a bit early still, but I think it would be neat if Laughing Citizens made some kind of spectacle on the new album's release day. Flash mobs? Camping in front of stores? Maybe we can hang out and hand out fliers promoting it? Anyone got any good ideas?

We've talked about midnight releases before, but we should really try to make an event of it, and petition local stores to hold events. We could all gather petitions to show that people would show up to justify the stores opening. Also, we could plan other ways to draw people in. Tyler will probably have no problem, but I think this is possible in other places. Eisley aren't the Shins, but they are gathering a nice buzz, and maybe something else is coming out the same day that it can be teamed up with. how about having humble boardie meet-up/partays wherever there can be ones? Like, Scottish folks would go somewhere... someone's house or something... go to a bar. yeh know. just celebrate within fans. ill prebuy it on amazon if i can, but definitely buy it on amazon the day of the release. I'm painting Eisley logos on turtles and other slow moving animals as I type. I vote for logo fireworks (like the "V" in V for Vendetta). We could have a forum party and play pin the guitar on Chauntelle. |
