As i told friend/photographer Peter Marince this morning (he'd tipped me off to the blurb): "ha ha.... well, I guess press seems to have plenty of paper to print hot news first". The first one to post the name wins the feeling of being the first one to post the name of the new record on this forum. boyd _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. It makes me happy that DALLAS was the first to talk about this. Dallas opened it's Texas arms to the band from the very first club gig; created a beautiful launching pad by embracing the band's live performances, by releasing them on the airwaves and believing in them for lo these many years. D-town will always been and will always be Eisley's base; home turf. We love Tyler, but Tyler will never love Eisley the way Dallas has. Sounds sappy. Very sappy. I don't care. Quote: Hi Boyd, Just read through your latest blogs to make sure I didn't miss the announcement, but there's a blurb in the Dallas Morning News today I thought you might want to know about. Haven't found it on the paper's website yet, or I'd send you the link. Most of blurb is talk about Sherri's recent wedding and Chauntelle's engagement, and how "Eisley is fast becoming a magnet for the men of punk-pop". Whatever, hehe... The last sentence reads as follows... "Eisley has been busy guest starring on the new Bright Eyes CD an finishing its own disc, Combinations, due out in August on Warner Bros." So, is this the name of the cd, or, as often is the case, does the paper not know what it's talking about? Hope all is well out in T-town. Take care... I assume by the fact that you are posting this, 'Combinations' is the official album title? Very cool! _________________ http://apturnofftheradio.blogspot.com |

I haven't read it yet. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. I can't find the article online, and I live in Georgia, so I don't get the Dallas Morning News. Boyd, I think you and I are the only ones online this morning, everyone else is either asleep or at school. I am actually at school as well, but I am a teacher, so I am allowed to surf the web. _________________ http://apturnofftheradio.blogspot.com |

Eee! Nice. First thing that popped into my head was the Victor's mother from the Corpse Bride, "When 'e was young he was so scared of the dark 'e used to wet his combinations!" This interesting news almost makes up for the pushed back release date. _________________ you said you liked it when the thunderstorms came said you'd like it if the thunderstorm just pulled you piece by piece away [F I O N A] |

But I can't tell you. U understand. That'd be lame... Those girls woodshedded it so hard. So hard. So very hard. They didn't come out of Sherri's house until they had the answer. It was right under their nose. They really delivered. It's perfect. It's not pretentious, not over-assuming; it's simple, easy to remember, has a classic sound, it's intelligent, embodies the totality of this collection of songs... I love it. Again... everything has gone right so far. That makes me very happy. So.... right; No pressure; the burden to keep the solidity of this project going has just been dumped in my lap (gulp). _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

Oh... I guess this was addressed already in the journals or something that I don't read. That sucks. For us at least. _________________ EvilSpace |
