I just had the weirdest idea. Okay, I'm no good at the whole poetry thing; however, I am good at writing little short stories. Short meaning VERY short, like a page or two pages, maybe three. Eisley has always (as long as they've been here, which is for me since early 04) been inspiration for me, so I just got the idea to write 12 short stories/anecdotes, one for each song on Room Noises. Y'all wouldn't consider this tampering with copyrights would you? There will NOT be any direct quotations, or if there will be they will be in quotes just to kind of start it off/end it and there will be credits at the end of the whole thing. My stories would probably differ greatly from Sherri's/Stacy's actual inspiration for writing each song, but that's the whole beauty of music interpretation, literature, and art. What do y'all think? _________________ Previously user holland, 2005. Either my account became inactive from posting inactivity or I just downright forgot my password. |

Unless you start selling something or putting prominent names on it, I doubt Eisley could do anything even if they despised you and your short stories. Sounds like a fun idea. People often use music as inspiration for writing and art, so it's pretty common. Go for it! _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

Room Writings, haha? "Narratives From Noise" "In This Room" "How I Learned To Stop Worrying and Love Writing Short Stories" Ok, so that last one is a bit of joke. The others are less corny. _________________

You broke my constant listening of Brandi Carlile - and apart from the odd occasion where I've needed the Maccabees to get me going, I've listened to nothing else since thursday - just so I could listen to I Will Write You Love Letters if You Tell Me To yay! On the marshking's original post, that sounds amazing. I want to read the finnished product! the only relatively rubbish name (the others are complete pants) i can think of is "wordy woods" [/i] _________________ She is handsome, she is pretty, she is the girl from Belfast City, she is courtin' one two three, please won't you tell me who is she? Actually you could probably write all twelve short stories, package it as one book, and sell it, and Eisley could do absolutely nothing because copyright never extends to song titles or album titles for that matter, so you could call it room noises: the short stories and pbulish it without copyright problems i believe. _________________ But I cannot discover any advantage except in honor, in glory, and in right action. Yes, but wouldn't the problem be when I directly quote a certain line here and there... By the way, I've written the Memories one already. Should I make a new Topic for each story, or just post it here... _________________ Previously user holland, 2005.
