I just like the quirkiness of it, especially her handwriting which isn't so proper and pro looking and those crossouts/blotches...like my writing...it's too bad college people don't like that sort of thing

Word. I love LOVE her handwriting.

I don't particularly think it's brilliant, though I do think it's a nice piece of advice presented in a nice fashion. A little more effort than just typing out the same thing, which is nice.

Yeah those are basically my thoughts.

I don't necessarily come away every post she does going "omg, what brilliance!" Nor do I think that's her intention necessarily. What I DO notice is that some of her posts definitely have something good to think about and remember in them. That current one does, the end of "Life is Happening," and that one that *I think* talked about the wonders of the world and having a positive purpose (or something, I may have gotten that wrong. I just remember that some people took it wrong, it caused it big controversy, and it got erased for some reason. I wish it didn't, it was a good message).

Woops but I guess I'm getting off track. Laughing Good message. Smile

I hope all of Stacy's future entries are hand-written and posted as jpegs.

That would be pretty cool.

i have a thing about knwoing what hand people write with, it's odd.
In the Room Noises videos she can be seen scribbling/doodling and she's a righty

I second the "more hand written journals = awesome" thinking

Any posts by the enigmatic and inscrutable Stacy are welcome as are any from the other band members. Obviously Sherri is the most prolific and comfortable of the bunch, but they all seem pretty shy despite Boyd's campaign to get them to pick up some of the slack for him.

Hopefully their journal posts pick up a bit once the tour starts. My money is on Garron for highest percentage increase in posts since he seems fond of the camera he has. Hopefully the forum members treat the band like timid wooodland creatures don't scare them off with any flip comments. (Although some of the sycophantic members posts give me the heebie-jeebies.) I loved it.
Sounds kind of cheesy but it meant a lot to me. I have a huge problem with criticizing myself and I've been seeing that kind of message everywhere all of a sudden and when I saw it in her blog I smiled.
I like how she thinks...and writes it down.

I was inspired. Minus the genius. But I'm not Stacy. But I want to be.

That's been my problem too lately.
And I've been getting that message a lot.

Yeah I'm sort of lost too. My 6th grade english teacher gave me this advice when we had to write poetry.

I don't get the "brilliance" either. Confused

Good advice is worth repeating.

That said, I don't really think people should put anyone on a pedestal, but if someone wants to appreciate something someone did, fine. Stacy's quite good at some things, but that doesn't mean that what she does is unobtainable. In fact, part of what I got out of the entry was "you can do this, too." And it's entirely true.

I just liked it because it wasn't normal.

I think that is in a nutshell what I like about Eisley.
They're obtainable. The seem like the kids down the street, who happen to have a record deal. and make really freakin awesome music...
