It's the way!

But, really, it kind of is, depending on the look you're attempting to achieve. It's time consuming, so if you don't want to do the au naturale / French / late '60s to early '70s thing, you should go for shaving. But if all you want to do is clean up the outskirts of Mos Eisley and subtly accentuate your cantina, a trim and a tweeze are so the way to go.

p.s. Leave waxing to the pros. ALWAYS LEAVE WAXING TO THE PROS. Don't get cocky.
