Haha, that's pretty nifty and odd. It's kind of like yesterday when I was watching football and they used Arcade Fire as the background music too. Whatever good music gets the job done I suppose.

I'm so happy sports television has graduated from jock rock. ha ha. I've heard more than a few good songs on highlight reels the last year or two.

I'm guessing they played "Invasion" because its like these great alien baseball players have taken over the Cubs. Why else would they be playing as well as they have this season?

They've been using Arcade Fire a lot for sports over here. The Grand Prix was on and they showed some cars going around a track and maybe a re-cap...it all looks the same and AF were in the background. Not a clue how it mingles all in together but....whatever.

And Sigur Ros for some football thing / on Hells Kitchen. Bands pop up on odd shows.

A Sight to Behold - the 2007 Cubs. Razz Can't find a song about HGH in the Eisley catalog to describe the past 5 weeks of the Cardinals season. Wink

Actually, from what I've read "Mr. Pine" is in reference to Rick Ankiel. I mean what the heck do you think "pale blue frosted cakes" are anyway?

From now on I'm calling Rick Ankiel "Mr. Pine," with the way he is hitting I'd say its a very suitable nickname.

And after this weekend the Cubs are going to be singing "Ten Cent Blues." Actually, this season its the "100 Million Dollar Blues." They have been singing this song so much over the last 100 years I just hope they don't try to sue Eisley for copyright infringement.

I'd personally love to see the Cubs vs. the Indians in the World Series just so there will be a super pissed Midwestern city. Razz
