 Post subject: I wear my Eisley love on my heelsPosted: Mon Aug 27, 2007 5:03 pm 
...literally. 
I got a new pair of Vans' checkerboards and I was inspired by Jamie's cool use of the poster stickers, so I thought I'd come up with some way to Eislify my shoes. I don't like the Vans trademark on the heels, so I usually sand them off and write something else there, usually something fun. Time it took: about four minutes, lol. Tools used: a sharpie and my mom's old emery board and some good old fashioned elbow grease. I originally wanted sand paper but I couldn't find any in our garage, so I improvised. Just rub off the trademark with the emery board and write whatever you want on the little piece of rubber there. And if you're wondering, "Guapo" is an inside joke with my friends. _________________

I thought the color combination might've been too loud, but they're pretty cute once they're on the street. Not only will I look supa' fly but I'll also be warning oncoming traffic of my pedestrian'ish location, lol. I just noticed that they're my school colors (University of California, Riverside). Go Highlanders! _________________

And yeah, it'll probably get scuffed up after a while. But I usually keep my shoes in good condition (all it needs is a few wipes from a cloth every now and then). And it's not hard to write "Eisley" again if it does. _________________
