am i the only one who gets bugged when they open the forum and "eisley blog" has 8,000+ topics, while the others have like 2? i feel that the "eisley blog" should be dispersed into categories like: shows, music, creations, news, and miscellaneous. or something along those lines. i'm just putting this out there ... _________________ .Arrgh!drey |

I like it all kept together. We already have a million subcatagories as is... it just starts getting cluttered and confusing when you add more. _________________ my name's carrie and i love a good sandwich so if you have a sandwich, come roll with me! i'm gonna marry the mars volta. |

eisley blog really doesn't need to be subdivided; there are already enough categories, and though this is a well-loved forum, even it doesn't get enough traffic to warrant such a split. i think it's fine as it is. _________________ Saellys wrote: Thank God for Arielle all your kind, they're coming clean they shut their eyes their mess, their scene |

More forums = less discussion People normally won't sift through 5-10 boards every time they log in, so if there is only one they are more likely to discuss something they weren't even searching for in the first place. That being said, I always use the 'view posts since last visit' feature anyway, so it doesn't really matter to me. _________________ EisleyForever wrote: you're A-list in my heart! It definitely doesn't bug me. The fan-run Brandi Carlile forum has like a zillion subforums, and sometimes show reviews get cross posted in "Concerts" and "Brandi's Music," and music sharing gets cross posted in "Brandi's Music" and "Exchanging Music," and it's really annoying. I think it's easier to keep track of duplicate threads and stuff when there's just one forum devoted entirely to discussing the band. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

I presume you mean the tour posters, discogs, and press forums. They've been around a while and just fulfill their purpose until they're integrated into the rest of the site. Eisleyblog will always have more posts too, because we don't prune topics. Topics in "Everything Else" get pruned if there's no posts in 60 days. The Eisleyblog posts go back about 5 years now. _________________ "The revolution starts today, not tomorrow." :: got g-Love? |

The only section I see with one category is Old News and Announcements. i'm talking about Eisley Posters Eisley Dicography Press the first 2 should be combined in some Eisley History folder Eisley 101 should be in News and Announcements and then Eisley Blog should be divided up into... 3? different categories on that first page soooo that's how if feel.... _________________ .Arrgh!drey |
