It's very strange to think they've been in my home state of Virginia for the past 3 days. I should have invited them over for coffee or something. I hope VA loves Eisley more than they did last time they were in DC. I want them to come back! _________________ http://www.myspace.com/keithabbott |

If I had known they were going to be in town for so long, too, I would've seen if they want to chow down at the mall across the street. I work only a block away from the Norva. At any rate, looking forward to the live show. Everything I've read about Eisley (performance and approachability) has just been nice. _________________ There is one place that you have not looked, and it is there - ONLY THERE - that you shall find The Master. Bahhhh! I just moved from Chesapeake (that would be Norfolk's next door neighbor). And I was so sad I had to miss them there. I love shows at the Norva. But Eisley does have a pretty solid fan base in the area. Everyone I know said they were going. Somebody say hiiiii for mee :] _________________ The name's Jacqui. |

Great show last night from both Eisley and Mutemath. Although, their styles really clash. You get the chilled, downtempo stylings of Eisley and the blaring, hyperkinetic performance by Mm. One of the best concerts I've been to in a while and one of the worst nights of my life...I got back to my car to find that someone smashed my passenger window in and stole my satellite radio, stereo, and (most regrettably) MY FREAKIN' EISLEY CD WAS IN THE STEREO AT THE TIME! Man oh man... _________________ There is one place that you have not looked, and it is there - ONLY THERE - that you shall find The Master. That's horrible about your stereo When I found out that they were just hanging in front of the norva and at the mall for three days, I really wanted to go find them: P They said that is were they spent a lot of time. I do have pictures..but not very good, I was kinda far away. And I got a lot of audio, they sounded amazing!!! I was really bummed they didn't play more off their new album *combinations ahem* but the oldies were well received ) I didn't get to talk to them that much, there didn't seem to be much time, cause they weren't actually at a table. so...that's my one regret, not getting to talk with them. can't wait till they come back! |

Thanks for the sympathies, xLottie. Damn crooks! yeah, there was a big crowd for them at the table. I'm so glad they have a good fan base. Garron looked exhausted, Weston was cool, and the sisters were very gracious with everyone. Combinations was my first exposure to them, so I'm going to pick up their other stuff now b/c I liked what I heard at the concert. Semi-bummed they didn't play Ten cent Blues, but they were still a great live act. All of their songs were beautiful. OH, I just read this from wikipedia: "Having recently wrapped up an acoustic tour, they are currently touring with Mute Math this fall and winter and are expected to headline their own tour in the spring of 2008." Let's hope they come back to VA and hang out at MacArthur again. I only work a few blocks from The Norva, so maybe I can knock on their bus next time they're down. _________________ There is one place that you have not looked, and it is there - ONLY THERE - that you shall find The Master.
