Should I buy this for Tara...

http://cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2007/11/07/25000-for-a-hot-chocolate  /

Five grams of 24-carat gold are mixed in; then, the chocolate is topped with whipped cream and — what else? — more gold.

Spend it on something more meaningful and less expensive not always what costs more represents what we truly feel for a person.
Even a poem can be worth more than gold. Very Happy

So you are actually supposed to eat that? Ridiculous.

Plus, it just looks gross. Haha.

Whoever would pay $25,000 for hot chocolate...or anything else that will be gone within 20 minutes after you purchase it, is duuuumb. I can't believe someone is actually charging that. I'd rather just have my $25,000, duh.

Thanks for all of your advice guys. Maybe I will write a poem. I have written a few good poems in my day.

Any ideas for topics? I feel like mushy-gushy love love is so overdone. I want to write something spectacular, like a light-airy haiku. I have a few other gifts up my sleeve too! Wink

If anyone has really extensive ideas, could you please PM me, I still want to keep this as much of a surprise as I can, even though she can read this Laughing

Anyone who pays $25,000 for a hot chocolate is part of the problem, part of the machine, part of the cancer that is killing the world, etc.

In other words, wastes of human live reveling in excess. It's chocolate and gold. $25,000 worth of it apparently. Unbelievable amounts of people die of starvation each day, but there is a DESSERT with a $25,000 price tag? How does this world exist? It's also full of milk/cream, so in other words, animal puss and blood.

Anyway.

So they have gold all over this thing, and it is considered food? Do people really eat gold? No. This is a restaurant doing a publicity stunt. If some billionaire orders an ultimate desert, the proverbial icing on the cake. But they never have to sell 1 of these and it has already served it's purpose.
