They do have an endorsement deal. They could probably squeeze a third out of that. hah

I almost bought that second one a few weeks back, but the one I tried sounded like crap when amped.

I'll just wait until my best friend's dad decides to give me his ES-345. Very Happy

Ha, yeah. I bet she keeps that one safe at home. The road is evil to equipment. Shocked

She's still playing the Rick in the sherri=jonny thread. They're gonna sound different and be suitable for different songs, even though they have the same body type. Smile

^Haha, I went to that thread right after I posted and thought, "Man, why didn't I just come here first?" Lol.

I've had Chaunty's new guitar, the Sheraton II (top photo), for about 10 years...yes I like it, but no, I'm not crazy about it...though I do like it better than the Casino. I wish I had Sherri's Rickenbacker, tho!

well, from the looks of it it's an "American Deluxe HSS Stratocaster", and, while i'm not very fond of 'em, they're a lot more practical for a working musician: they hold tune better, they're much more versatile, much quieter (and i mean less noise, not less output), and, frankly, they look a lot nicer, and are built a lot better. oh, and this isn't compared to some random no-name import Stratocaster knock-off, this is compared to high-priced "vintage" collectables! so, why do you think she switched? hmm? those Deluxe series instruments are easily the best designed, best built, best playing, Fenders i've ever seen, if you can get past the unbearably thin neck! the "Deluxe Ash Telecasters" have a pretty much perfect neck, though (but the "standard" Deluxe Telecasters are as unbearably thin as the Stratocaster's!)

noise-free "single-coils" have never sounded good to me, but i always figured that if i ever become a "working musician" i'd probably end up getting some, and wiring up with a coil-split so i could have true single-coil tone when i wanted it, and the noise-free operation when i needed it. oh, and these are designed by Bill Lawrence, who makes the best noise-free pickups their are, with the sole exception of certain Mr. Leo Fender, who designed these:

the only type of noiseless single-coils that can fool me! and with the "MFD" pickups even the noisy ones are a lot less noisy than "vintage" Stratocaster pickups. i always figured Chauntelle would like G&Ls… i'm not sure why i never mentioned it — maybe didn't get the chance? hmm… oh well… if you ever asked yourself "what would Leo be doing now?", those G&Ls are as close as you'll get (they're what he was doing 15+ years ago, as opposed to 50+ years ago!)

oh, and about the Casino: P-90s are one of my favorite pickups. if you don't count bass pickups, steel pickups, arch-top "floating" pickups, etc, they're my 3rd favorite pickup — after the Rowe-DeArmond "DeArmond 200" (aka "Dyna'Sonic"), and the Fender Jazzmaster pickups — and the Casino really shows off their sound beautifully (they feedback more than any other guitar i've ever played, though, including much wider/deeper hollow-bodies!) the Casino might be my favorite "Beatles" guitar, though i'm in sort of a wierd place with the Beatles — i like their gear more than their music! so i play a Casino into an AC30, and i'm convinced everyone thinks i'm trying to be John Lennon! i don't have anything against John Lennon, really, i'm just not trying to be him, you know? oh, and orange is my favorite color (actually, they're orange, gold, and green — and it's not because of Eisley, and i'm not bullshiting you one bit! weird, huh?)

am i rambling?

i know i am.

so why did i ask the question?

i'll shut up.

but, one more thing: i'm pretty damn sure those are SGs behind that Sheraton! are those Eisley's now too? i love SGs — as long as you get the ones without humbuckers (or swap 'em out!)
