Hi there! Haven't been around in some time since I started lots of new things including writing for an English magazine published in Rome! I just wanted to share something with you: who else finds the dueling voices in most Eisley songs absolutely brilliant? I'll take the example of Brightly Wound (Sherri's voice behind Stacy's) and Many Funerals. They're the only band I know that makes frequent use of this and I love it! I often like to distinguish them in the song and appreciate the harmony of the two intertwining. What are your opinions and feelings? _________________ http://www.eisley-italia.tk ! Yes" The contrapuntal stuff. Brightly Wound was the first Eisley song I ever heard. I was having coffee at Barns and Noble and I just sat there stunned. Two beautiful voices singing like that! I was floored! I love when they do that!! _________________ Mike=] |

that's one of the thing that i love most about Eisley's music. it amazes me because i could never create anything like that! two lines sounding completely different (lyrics AND melody) but when you put them together, they create the most beautiful harmonies! _________________ .Arrgh!drey |

Slightly off-topic, but after listening to some of the EPs on my zune, I definitely realized that Stacy and Sherri sounded a lot more alike in the 2003 and earlier days. _________________ EisleyForever wrote: you're A-list in my heart! MAKECOLDPLAYHISTORY |

I've realised that too. They're a lot more distinguishable now. As to the topic, I love it as well! It reminds me of a lot of Les Miserables, as that's used in a lot of musicals. _________________ To Write Love On Her Arms the world is poor because her fortune is buried in the sky and all her treasure maps are of the earth. |

i totally agree. they really strike a good balance of solos, harmonies, and counterpoint. i agree with you guys on "Go Away" and "Head Against the Sky". i'd also like to add that the last 40 seconds of "Lullaby" is really great. There aren't even lyrics, just ... soulful and emotional tangling and untangling. it's fantastic. |
