 Post subject: I had a dream!Posted: Mon Jul 21, 2008 5:36 am 
To play a gig with Eisley. Actually I've had this goal for probably 5 years. I'm always too nervous to even talk to them when they come to Detroit so I couldn't imagine opening for them. That would be nothing short of amazing. I'm taking lessons starting tonight so I can get out of the bottom of the barrel of guitar players around here and step it up. I figure it's about time I actually know what I'm playing and understand some theory so who knows who I'll hook up with. I'm pretty excited and have nothing but optimism towards it all. One day my dream will come true, and it will be a glorious day. Anyone from the Detroit area want to jam? Right now my main influences are Interpol, My Morning Jacket, The Stills, of course Eisley, and Ryan adams. I've tried to get a band going a few times but its hard to find people serious people when you're not connected well with "the scene".[/i] |
