I was watching this movie again tonight and the artwork the main character Helena drew reminded me a lot of Sherri's artwork. I looked around a little and saw that the director was the artist. Pretty neat. If Sherri's artwork were in a movie it would look something like MirrorMask. The first thing that reminded me of Sherri: Go click on MirrorMask: http://www.mckean-art.co.uk/ |

Doesn't Sherri love Neil Gaiman? Neil Gaiman (co-writer) works with Dave McKean (artist/director/writer) for a lot of his books, I think. His artwork is amazing, and it does remind me of Sherri's. MirrorMask was a grand movie. It was so unique. _________________ No one sensible believes in ghosts anyway- that's because they're all such liars. |

Yeah. McKean's art is fantastic. I can totally see a relationship between Sherri's artwork and his. His is much more angular though while hers tends to be flowy (which I don't think is a real word). _________________ "I shall take the heart," returned the Tin Woodsman; "for brains do not make one happy, and happiness is the best thing in the world." |

I've been into Dave McKean's art since I started reading Neil Gaiman's work. I can't see any notable resemblance between his stuff and Sherri's. She's all about clean, elegant lines and McKean is much more jagged and grungy. They absolutely do different styles. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

The stuff on his Web site looks way different, but the linework in the pictures above looks similar to me. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

One of my favourite films (and soundtracks, and author and ullustrator) and it's always reminded me of Eisley in general. Also Sherri's art. _________________ To Write Love On Her Arms the world is poor because her fortune is buried in the sky and all her treasure maps are of the earth. |
