After trying ever since RN came out to get someone really interested in Eisley, I finally succeeded! I've gotten all sorts of reactions from " I'm not into folk music," to "They're too sedate." But now there is a new, bone fide, Eisley fan! She's even on the board! Persistence pays! Woot! _________________ Mike=] |

Haha, "too sedate." I've actually been fairly successful at getting people into the band. I've taken around 10 people (and counting) to see them live. The last person I referred them to, however, said they were too "spoken word" for her -- although she did seem to like "I Wasn't Prepared." _________________ "I shall take the heart," returned the Tin Woodsman; "for brains do not make one happy, and happiness is the best thing in the world." |

Congrats about converting your friend! I've tried to spread the Eisley love but none of my friends have taken to them much. My friends think they're too "whiney." Then again, my friends' idea of good music is whatever they play in clubs (which is great to dance to, but... you get my point). |

Good job! I use various Eisley related screen names elsewhere. I know playing poker on aol, I use laughingcity1234. People ask me all the time where laughingcity is, and I explain. Not sure if that has converted anyone, but I try. My major league baseball screen name "eisley" was always just for my messageboarding on The Cubs board. But now that I'm on the leaderboard in a MLB contest, it's getting more widespread exposure. Not sure if anyone will google it as a result, but again I try... As far as friends and family, I take my wife with me to their concerts but she is not a big fan. |
