So this lady Samantha Murphy sent me a message on Flickr with a link to her interview with Eisley. I couldn't find a mention of it anywhere else so I thought I would share.

Yeah it's the first track in the player. It starts after Invasion plays through.

Aaaah, ok. That's annoying.

Edit: That interview(er) was sort of weird. I like the performance part the best though.

I am listening to it now, and I like this interview so far with the exception of Invasion being thrown in at the beginning.

Yea I was sort of confused by that too, I also think she tried blending in her introduction to the interview with the beginning of Invasion. Or maybe it just sounded like that to me.

I'm listening to her interview with Inara George and she talked about how she doesn't know much about sound editing and some people have complained about the editing. She said as soon as someone proficient in editing offers to do it for free, they are more than welcome to.

Her interviews are more like friendly conversations. Which I kind of like.

my headphones were turned up too loud for that "YOOOUUU are listening to smtv" intro. That shouldn't be auto-play.

mid-way through listening to it:

Finally, a great interview. It's great that someone does research and tries to understand the questions they get asked every day and try to mix it up and bring up specific past events and from someone who knows the industry. It's been a while since I've heard....whoa....

I just heard Sherri's comment about people on the forum making fun of their weight.

hmm...

other than that, hands down best eisley interview I've heard. Hearing what they have to say about WB and the situation in the industry is great to finally hear.

Yeah, it really sucks to have to listen to Invasion one more time. Rolling Eyes

But seriously, thanks for the link, really interesting & lengthy interview. I'm encouraged by the girls' attitude about the music industry - if it happens to fall apart around them, they'll find ways to keep making music. As one of them said, bands aren't just going to suddenly stop writing, recording & performing. As long a there's a dedicated audience, there's a future. It's cool that they mention Pink Floyd alongside the Beatles & Radiohead as favorite influences, they are really a genre unto themselves and I've thought that people who don't even like rock music could like the Floyd because their scope and ambitions are so expansive.

And how the hell can Stacy sound that good that early in the morning?? Gotta be witchcraft. Twisted Evil

Yeah, I enjoyed her personality.

I was also taken aback to hear that people on this forum make jibes about the girls' weight....I've never read such a thing. Granted, I haven't read every little blurb here, ever, but.....really? Shocked

thanks for the interview. i enjoyed it.

does anyone archive the audio interviews?

poor Thom and his height...

can you think of any heavy bearded male rock stars?

only big dude (sans beard) i can think of off the top of my head is Meatloaf.

when Brian Wilson retreated and gained a ton of weight i'm sure it was definitely talked about, though probably just as much for mental stability, etc. just wondering how he was.
