I did a search on the forum for "tab" and "sheet music" and saw a bunch of threads asking people for tabs and sheet music... so I thought it might be a good idea to make a thread for people that want to post sheet music/tabs that they have figured out themselves!

There are a lot of good finds on http://www.eisleytab.cjb.net/ but it is missing some songs (it has a lot of Room Noises, not really Combinations).

So if you have some songs you've figured out by Eisley, whether it be Guitar/Bass/Piano/Drums, feel free to post it here! Let's try not to make this a "request" thread but a resource.

*At the top of your post, please post the song/album and the instrument.* Makes it easier to find with a little control+f action.

(sorry if anyone thinks this isnt a good idea, as far as I know, there aren't any published books of Eisley's music)

Music in this thread (this will be updated as more people post)

Room Noises
One Day I Slowly Floated Away--Piano (intro)--guitargirl

Like the Actors--Guitar--grain thrower

Sorry this will be probably really awful to read...it's the piano intro for "One Day I Slowly Floated Away" from Room Noises.

The notes are F G C C, repeat, F G D D, repeat, F G A C C, repeat, F G A D D, repeat
It's probably not exact, but that's when I got when I sat at my keyboard and plunked away for a while.

Awesome, thanks! I'm gonna make a list of all the tabs/sheet music that are in this thread in the first post of the thread. And I think I'm gonna go try this on piano now.

OK, I worked out Like The Actors on guitar last month so I'll repost here. Would be great if someone filled in the missing bridge section.

For the acoustic guitar part I use a capo on 1st fret and the song is E and A, both verse & chorus.

E
Dust was supplied...

A
But I don't mind...

And then a slower strum during the chorus:

E
Down, and down

A
We fall down...

The little musical bit before the bridge goes like this:

D---------------------------------------------------------------------
A---5------5-4-----4-3----7-8---8-8-8-8-7-5-5-5-5-7-8-8-8-8-7-5-5-5
E------1-5-----1-5--------------6-6-6-6-5-3-3-3-3-5-6-6-6-6-5-3-3-3

The main 'piano riff' goes like this on guitar

e---1---------------
B---1---------------
G---2-------2-------
D---3----3----5-3--
A---3--3------------
E---1----------------

Remember, capo on first fret.

Many Funerals Guitar Tab

Probably should've looked if this had been done, but once I got started I had to do the whole thing. I don't always have the right number of notes for the power chords, just play along to the track to get a feel for tempo and how many strums. When there is no letter designation, bottom line is the low-E string.

___v v v ^ _v v v ^__v v v ^__v v v ^ (strum direction)

D -9-9-9-9--9-9-9-9--7-7-7-7--9-9-9-9
A -7-7-7-7--7-7-7-7--5-5-5-5--7-7-7-7
E --------------------------------------

Bring along your tricks and trade...

Young and agile, seaside born...

5-5--5-7-9-9--9-7-5-5--5-7-9-9--9-9--9-9--9-9
3-3--3-5-7-7--7-5-3-3--3-5-7-7--7-7--7-7--7-7
------------------------------------------------

Oooh...

-----------------------------------------------4---------||
-------------0-------------0-------------0--2---2-0-----|| 2x, end with E chord
0--0-0--2-3---0--0-0--2-3---0--0-0--2-3------------3-2-||

Break, break down

(use same strumming pattern from 1st verse)

9-9-9-9--9-9-9-9--7-7-7-7--7-7-7-7--5-5-5-5--5-5-5-5--4-4-4-4--4-4-4-4
7-7-7-7--7-7-7-7--5-5-5-5--5-5-5-5--3-3-3-3--3-3-3-3--2-2-2-2--2-2-2-2
---------------------------------------------------------------------- ----

Oooh, and now they have no chances...

And, oh, now we take our chances...

[Gtr.2 fill]:

G -11-11-11----------11-11-11---------
D -----------9-9-9-------------9-9-9--
A ---------------------------------------
E ---------------------------------------

...leave you with your tears

...before our lives end, too

Bridge sorta goes like this:

e -0----10--0----10-0----10------------------------------||
B -8-----8-12-----8-8-----8------------------------------||
G -9--9-----9--9----9--9---------------------------------||
D --------------------------------------------------------||
A ---------------------------------------0-------------0--||
E ---------------------------0--0-0--2-3---0--0-0--2-3---||

How could you have left us here?

You had friends, you had us,

-------------------------------------------
-------------0-------------0-------------0-
0--0-0--2-3---0--0-0--2-3---0--0-0--2-3---

Goodbye (break, break down)

-------------0-
-------------0-
-------------1-
---4---------2-
-2---2-0-----2-
---------3-2-0- Goodbye (last one)

From this thread:
Quote:
We Feel Good:

I don't know all the lyrics, and haven't heard any recording besides the YouTube link posted above. Here are the chords for that:

First verse: Alternate D-major and G-major [alternately, they sometimes use Em7] a bunch of times.

When she sings something like, "Oh, well I was standing alone," the chords are:
B-flat major, C-major, and then D-major/minor (I say this because the guitar plays D-major for about a second, but then Stacy plays an F-natural that I assume is on purpose, which turns it back to D-minor).
Same chord progression repeated -- B-flat major, C-major, and D-major/minor.

Next is a line that is something like "you make the world go round and round"?

Starting here, the chord progression is: G-major, B-major, E-minor, A-minor, B-major, E-minor, A-minor, G-major.

Then to a sort of bridge where Stacy is humming. Back to the alternating D-major and G-major [or alternately Em7].

Back to the B-flat major, C-major, and D-major progression. (This time, Stacy doesn't play the F-natural note, so the chord doesn't flip back to D-minor.)

Back to the same chord progression for "you make the world go round and round": G-major, B-major, E-minor, A-minor, B-major, E-minor, A-minor. But it's different this time -- it ends on E-minor (not G-major).

So now we're at the bridge-like passage starting at 2:30 in the YouTube video. The chords are E-minor alternating with A-minor in first inversion (that is, with the C-note as the lowest note). Those chords alternate three times, and then it goes from A-minor in first inversion to F-major (at about 2:56 in the video). Back to E-minor at 3:00 in the video.

Back to the "you make the world go round and round" progression, except that it ends differently -- G-major, B-major, E-minor, A-minor, B-major, E-minor, A-minor, B-major, E-minor, A-minor, G-major (ending chord).

Sorry, I know that's not very clear, but I couldn't understand most of the lyrics on the video, so I wasn't able to make it all match up.

this is all capo 1 for guitar, or just transpose everything a half step down (F) for piano.

Head Against the Sky isn't here but some of their more well known songs are:
http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/eisley_tabs.htm
To be able to read the Guitar Pro tabs(which aren't as many as the ordinary ones), though, you need the program (Guitar Pro), it actually can show you the sheet music for each of the instruments and so on... I think you can download a demo version from somewhere.
Hope that it helps, I thought that some of you might not know about this site.

Yes, you need the program but even with it you can find the drums only for Blackened Crown, Telescope Eyes, and Laughing City.

I came up with these.

Verse 1
(G) I'm getting (D) colder by the day and
(Em) it's only 'cause (C) you're not here.
(G) I'm wishing (D) for silver bugs to
(Em) fly me over (C) where you are
(D) and then I (Am) know that
(D) someone locked the door when I'm not (Am) home.

Chorus
(G) It's okay, it's a golden day (D), a golden day and
(G) Tomorrow's coming up
Take the (Em?) bright, bright branches of lovely moments.

Verse 2
(G) It was the (D) look on your face
that (Em) told me you've (C) always cared.
(G) And I'll try to (D) know your safe and
(Em) maybe that will (C) make me sound.
(D) And this I (Am) know dear,
(D) My heart smiles when you're (Am) near.

Chorus

Bridge
(Am?) And in the (D) morning,
i'll (Am?) gather all the (D) hope that's on my window,
and place them in(Am)side.

Chorus x2
