finally figured out what W&W sounds like (or what sounds like W&W)--
Bowling for Soup's 1985!-- Sounds like a stretch, but check it out.

Wings & Windows, I assume. If so, I disagree.

I disagree to the point where I need you to explain how you even made this comparison.

Not hearing it at all. But, Wings&Windows is definitely in my top 5 Eisley songs. A shame it was never sold.

You actually caused me to doubt myself for a moment, but I listened to it again, and I still hear the resemblance.

Elaborating a little
1) its not the verse. the verse sounds nothing like it, but a lot of W&W is chorus.
2) 1985 is louder and faster. I have a thin understanding of music, but there is probably a modal shift between the two. But the melody of the chorus has a distinct similarity, as I hear it.

Maybe you can hear it best if you work backward from:
"I was the one who let your friend go"
"when did reality become TV"

OK dumb thing to spend time on Friday morning, but you can't put something that outlandish out there and then just ignore your critics.

Anyway, thats my best shot. If you still can't hear it, well, maybe its one of those things that only I can hear Wink

I thought it sounded more like Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love," which came out in 1985. Well, either that or "Informer," by Snow.

Informer!!! I forgot about him...Ha! Laughing I actually had his albums. I'm cracking up at the Jim Carrey parody from In Living Color that's on there now.

Yeah, if there's no audio for it, are you guys just going off of memory? Because if you are, that's pretty darn awesome. (And must be one heckova song.)
