That bird looks similar to a drinking bird toy. Appropriate.

nice observation!

Her Facebook status said she developed Carpel Tunnel from doing so many drawings, so it may be a while before/if she starts taking orders again.

She must be exaggerating. Tired or something. I can't imagine she received so many requests for drawings that she actually developed Carpal Tunnel because of it. Razz Haha. Hope she's alright.

From Sherrisink Flickr...
"UPDATE YA'LL!!

Hey Guys, so I got's some good and some not good news.

Good news:
I plan to continue taking commissions for the time being.
Although I'm still working through quite a list of the first people who ordered,
I will, when finished, be accepting more!
(I'll let you know when:).

Bad news:
I will be raising my price for an original 9 x 12 piece to $100.

Upon starting this commissions thing a few months ago, I've wholly enjoyed, lovingly drawing each piece for those of you who've ordered one.
It really does bring me joy and all of you have been so sweet and encouraging when you see and then recieve your art.
But It's pretty much consumes my entire days or evenings Smile
Also, I have a wedding coming up fairly soon (my very own, yes:),
And since we (Eisley) will start recording (officially) this month;
I won't have quite as much time to do as many.

$100 is a lot of money (to me it is) and I know for those of you who seriously love and are interested in owning an original piece, (drawn just for you, to your specifications), will not think it ridiculous of my to ask it in return for my work...Hopefully, you won't think I'm being Uncle Scrooge for this.
I love you guys.
Sherri"

As much as I completely understand all of that, it kind of makes me sad that I didn't order one beforehand. Lucky ducks who got theirs cheaper. Oh well, I will probably still get one because I know I will be sad if I don't.

I was wrong when I stated Flickr status - I meant Facebook status. She mentioned it in one a couple days ago.

Man in the Moon's pretty sweet.

p.s. Is this the first official mention of Eisley 'officially' recording?

I got my tattoo design about a week ago. I basically told her Eisley's music got me through an extremely tough time and to draw something related to that. This actually isn't the final copy though, I asked for the beginning lyrics of "Taking Control" after and she added them to the swirlies - I'll post a new picture as soon as I get one.

Hmm...it might be. At least it's the first time I heard anything about officially recording this month. Hopefully sometime soon we will get an official word and information in Trolleywood. Very Happy

And about the higher price...Yeah, that's a bummer, I was thinking about requesting one. I am still thinking about it, but I wish I would've jumped on the bandwagon sooner. It's understandable though, when you think of pieces people get at galleries and whatnot...and this is an original. Still a unique option that's well worth the money if one can afford it!

Actually, my only issue is to think of what idea I would find special to request! I guess she's not accepting new ones yet, so there's a bit of time. Smile

I ordered my drawing very early on, when Sherri first mentioned that she would do them. I would have paid pretty much anything she'd asked but at $70, I thought, "What a bargain!"

An original drawing by Sherri DuPree! It's priceless! Think about it! Smile
