So I'm really excited because I heard Eisley played in public for the first time this week. My dad and I had picked up a friend of mine from DFW airport and stopped to eat at Chile's in Forney, TX. We had been listening to "Taking Control" and, oddly enough, when we got out of the van, the song kept playing! One of my favorite bands was being played at one of my favorite restaurants! I know several people have posted about hearing Eisley in stores and such, so I just wanted to share...

This gave me an idea: EISLEY RADIO. 24/7 - I could either rig up a loud speaker hooked up to an ipod on a giant pole in a crowded area - like at a rodeo or a small town mall or an outdoor park. That's just one amazing idea. I have more: someone could start an Eisley digital radio station on itunes like those Beatles stations I sometimes listen to. Come ON! Do it. wel, maybe not only eisley. ok, we could share it with other bands that only this forum approves. mmm... another idea: Every eisley fan could find a way to worm their way into a job at a big radio station and eventually become program directors... and play Eisley! - even if Clear Channel says no. Just revolt and tell that dumb egg-head executive to blow it out his saddle bags... and be willing to destroy your career by being a rebel. It'll cause huge waves (not only radio waves) become a big story for press. It'sll spread on line and catapolt the band into stardom. Yeah, I have really good ideas sometimes. bd

Here's another,

When that kid did Typical on American Idol, was it last year or the year before, I remember Mute Math seemed to take off at about the same time, after being out for a little while before...

So, though it may be too late, next go around Eisley fans should flood the American Idol auditions and do Their Songs, really well, or really memorably if "well" is not in your skill set... It might just work Very Happy

Matter of fact, didn't the kid with the Dread's did Hallelujah right, and the Jeff Buckley version went to number one on Itunes that month (deservedly so)...

Someone tried a 24/7 Led Zeppelin station in East Texas back around 2000.

It didn't last too long...

p.s. the rare Boyd forum post...I'm about to catch up to you!

it's not a Christmas version. It's just a Remix that was added to the end of a few of the albums. people always talk crap about it. but i like it, despite the fact that everyone else thinks it's horrible.
