No, i think we'll be able to restore your very viral lives complete with your posts. They, in fact, are there as I understand it. By relinking you with your former selves, your numbers will jump back to what they were... I think. And for newbies (since March), you should be able to become the old you. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. Perhaps, but so far, no such luck??? Honestly, I was just hoping I didn't "cross the streams" by posting a image that was also a link in the 90's Emo vs. Y2k Emo thread! ![]() _________________ yup, that's my name. We used the actual bad database to make this one. The only fields we touched were from the "users" table. In order to make things work we had to invent about 200 users so that posts from users since march had a user ID to link them to. I checked the database and the forum when it went live and all the last posts were from minutes before the crash. However, some profile information is old since we pulled your user accounts from march so you account settings were from then... sorry can't fix that. I guess that goes for post counts too but we might be able to run a query that does a new tally of the numbers. If you find your posts and want your old account back PM me or another admin your lost account ID... ie "lost account 14567" and we can link you back up. Thanks for your support and again.. sorry for the hassle... it truly is my fault.. well except for that stupid glitch.. but had I had the back ups running properly... well.. I am on the one to kick. |

Aye, post counts are stored in the users table. Once we get usernames sorted out, we can resync the post counts. Thanks for your patience, everyone. Posts are stored in another table, and that table had no issues, to my knowledge. All posts are there, just a matter of hooking them back up to your accounts (this could be a lengthy task, so it might take a while). _________________ "The revolution starts today, not tomorrow." :: got g-Love? |

You know, this is just a delayed spring cleaning, and perhaps it can be a lesson to us: "You can't take it with you... unless you back-up regularly." _________________ yup, that's my name. Unfortunately I was forced to recreate my account, and I had to lose all my information and posts. ![]() Also, for some reason the avatar uploader is not working for me. However, I don't if it's a site problem or if my computer randomly started to hate on the Eisley site... anyone else having this problem? |

I'm gone for a few days and look what happens.... ![]() See, what did I tell you about Jamie hitting the 25k post mark? (OK, I'll stop with that joke now, but damn if it wasn't perfectly timed! ![]() Since new user accounts since March were lost, maybe the post count drops represent posts made by each member since March. That seems logical to me, but we are dealing with computer systems here. ![]() _________________ http://www.twitter.com/drstrangeblog http://www.last.fm/user/getinline I can't find the time to write my mind the way I want it to read. |

that's what I figured too, that what we lost since the March back-up is our reduction. Sheesh, think I dropped like 3 ranks though! Oh well, the conversations are preserved. I think I may have lost most of mine cause of my "Lint 40 posts in 40 days" run being during that time, who knows??? Who cares. Once this EP and tour starts up, or any more Local News appearances... we'll all get our counts up. BTW, next time they get on TV, they should open all the windows in the House and Blare Some TUNES! Free publicity on the DL! _________________ yup, that's my name. FOR YOUR RATING PLEASURE: 4 LIKE Buttons, 1 NEUTRAL, 1 VEXED, 5 DISLIKE buttons.
