So thanks to the 5 favorite songs thread, I listened to Escaping Song, Tree Tops and a few other songs by Eisley (now, 'cause my Eisley knowledge was limited to Room Noises and Combinations). Gotte say I like those 2 a lot. I like Tree Tops and the Escaping Song, both, and can't seem to pick wich one's better. So, what do you guys think?

I kinda like the piano instrumental towards the end of ES.

Escaping song, because, although the live version of Tree Tops is kickass, the demo is sort of ehh, and Escaping Song I can listen to again and again and again...

The piano intro, the dreamy chorus, the pretty harmonies towards the end.

Those two are both excellent, but I love Escaping Song a tad more.

I Love Waltzes, I could make you a killer playlist of nothing but waltz and 6/8 time songs that would blow your mind AND not be boring... That said

Escaping Song has that Carny feel to it, a merry go round type vibe, but with a darker lilt. Knowing they are fans of Jeremy Enigk it makes since that it sounds like it could have been on Return of the Frog Queen.

Tree Tops is 100% jubilation, and uplift, which in this case I prefer.

Escaping Song is way better for this alone.

My favorite is the acoustic version of The Escaping Song. So pretty. I love Eisley's acoustic stuff.

"Tree Tops," and not just so I can be the dissenting voice. It's a freaking classic.

'Tree Tops,' all the way! It's so full of exuberance and life! Also I find a courageousness about it, as if Sherri or Stacy were telling the world " No matter what 'you' say, we're doing it our way! To me it's an extremely empowering song! Smile

Don't get me wrong, ' Escaping Song' is also one of my favs, but I'm just in love with 'Tree Tops!' Smile

Yeah, they performed it live at like a radio station or something. It's so good. I'll try to find it on syp and link it if I do.

EDIT

Couldn't find it on there. Perhaps I'll upload it to a site or something.
