Subterranean playlist ![]() Management sent me this yesterday: Attached please find the playlist for this week's Subterranean airing Sunday 01/25at 12midnight. C'Mon C'Mon - The Von Bondies So Alive - Ryan Adams Marvelous Things - Eisley Maybe Tomorrow - Stereophonics One Horse Town - The Thrills The Prizefighter - The Velvet Teen This Is Our Emergency - Pretty Girls MakeGraves ****Dance Commander - Electric Six Hello Sunshine - Super Furry Animals NYC - Interpol Silence Is Easy - Starsailor Redemption Song - Joe Strummer Eisley on MTV2 - Subterranean Eisley's management (Dave and Darin) have been in New York this week and met with the programming director at MTV. They love the song, the video, the band... and they'll start airing the video before the end of this month. Amazing, right? That's really all. It's really a huge thing for Eisley. Not like they're trying to be some big MTV mainstream thing at all... this is airing on Subterranean - MTV2's program for newer, underground bands - totally indie; I'm guessing it might mean late nights...when all the good stuff comes on, right? Actually, we're a bit at a loss. Cox Cable doesn't provide MTV2 so we don't watch it. I guess in a way, I was expected this news since MTV seemed to fancy the band early on. Craig (A&R) told us yesterday that MTV were going to dovetail the "You Heard it First" news bit with the video and start airing that also. DANG, Ya'll! #!%!@ I need some more COFFEE! It's not like you guys haven't seen the video on Yahoo, WindowsMedia, Launch, Reprise, MSN, etc. but, tons of people don't browse and dig as much as you music freakoids do. ![]() The news of this is pummeling my brain a little bit; (why you ask? no... didn't ask) since the M.T.video has been out on-line, hits have doubled and there are piles and hoards and flocks of newbies on this forum. Traffic is peaking to a new level. So what happens when National broadcast is added? What's happening to our tiny commmunity? How will we know each other one on one anymore? I'm trying to find a new host for this forum asap. The bandwidths are choking them and we're being asked to find a new home. (gulp.) I'll let you know when we find out broadcast schedules for the video. Thanks for being so cool. boyd _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. Wow, that's awesome. I've been noticing how people seem to be joining at a higher rate and how things seem to be picking up. I don't know about everyone else, but I'll hold on to this forum like grim death, no matter how many people come in. I'm sure I'm not alone, though. ![]() I hope you find a suitable host and don't have to worry about bandwidth problems soon. That's gotta be annoying when there's such an important task at hand. Speaking of bandwidth ... I need to kill my signature for the time being. (Gotta do my part.) Anyway, I hope to see MTV putting the best music out right now in solid rotation. ![]() _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

that's waaaay cool! i knew it was only a matter of time, but it sure happened fast! i think a few of us members of the board are way too entrenched to ever let go. we'll keep the core solid while the sparks and dust fly around us in swirlilng circling dizziness. yeah man. solid. _________________ hello. |

I went to the link.... it didnt do much for me, but that is really cool that they are getting played. I hope they dont get to big and mainstream before there is anything they can do to stop it. That would suck if some radio group (like clear channel) became obsessed with them and made tem into an icon that everyone of their somgs has been played out. but it is a cool opritunity. I cant wait to see what eisley does. _________________ thelostLostBoy: whoa you look punk in that iron soulfulleslielou: I just drive this bus, I don't what's under the hood |
