So, I know that most other people had this stuff already but I super psyched to now be the proud owner of 1 copy of:
- Marvelous Things EP
- Laughing City EP

both still in the original shrink wrap. The Laughing City EP even had a sticker on it saying the band was currently on tour with Coldplay Laughing

Anyway, I'm pumped because these things were released before I became a fan. By the time I started seeing shows in high school, they had stopped carrying those EPs around on tour.

I'm debating whether I should open them or not...

I'm glad they found copies to sell on tour in the absence of LP3

I've got both a Laughing City EP, and a Room Noises vinyl still in the shrink wrap, and plan to keep them that way! Smile And that 'on tour with COLDPLAY this summer' sticker is really cool! I just wouldn't want to ruin it!

And (last I checked) you can get those tracks digitally on SYP, so it's not like I can't hear them.

Part of me is just itching to inspect every inch of them though Sad

FYI, that's not SWAG (stuff we all get), it's merch (stuff we have to pay for)

But, congrats! I love my Marvy Things and Laughing City EPs.

When I bought the Laughing City EP six years ago, it had the Coldplay sticker on it too. I've always regretted throwing that wrapper away. I say open your copy, but keep the sticker.

Songs from the Laughing City EP and Marvelous Things EP have never been on SYP.

I got in the habit of using my finger nail to cut the the side of the shrink wrap where the cd comes out, so my Eps (both bought in 03- early 04' still have the stickers and all that stuff on them).

But I'm neurotic and a little OCD, cause for years, I got sick of having all that celefane from opening tapes and cds filling the trash when I got them so I started finding ways to cut or unseal the celefane on the cds so I could slie the jewel cases back in the plastic. I managed to accumulate 600-800 cds over that time and 60% still have the plastic still on them when I shelved them. I would take it off to play them and then put it back on. My friends thought I hadn't opened them, and I would explain that I was trying to not throw away the plastic (and teach myself patience). They just thought I was crazy, but they never told me. I would tell them it would be even more neurotic/ OCD to sit there and take all the plastic off at some point. To this day, I still have to think about it when opening a new cd. Thankfully I don't get them that often anymore. Now we can reserve Our neurosis for Itunes Art and playlists Razz

Maybe you can find the same photos elsewhere, but the inner pix of both EPs are pretty cool, I particularly like the inside of 'Marvelous Things' - enigmatic pose & even a little spooky. Smile

While I'm on it, that is Stacy on the cover right? She just looks a little...I don't know...elongated. Is that street of any significance, like their neighborhood?

Boyd tweeted this last month. It's definitely within walking distance of their home.

I forgot another plus: the Sherri artwork on the CDs. You did the right thing. Wink
