does Eisley really sound anything like the Cocteau Twins or Mazzy Star? i love all three bands, but i don't hear the similarity at all…

I think they were going for the Ethereal vibe of both groups and Elizabeth Fraser that rangy airy voice akin to Sherri and Mazzy Star has that alto that's earthier but equally siren life, like Stacy.

That may be me making a stretch, cause when I read those bands I did a little Confused but when I write my reviews and do a RIYL I sometime through in "slant-rhyme" comparisons that aren't meant to point to direct similarities, but music that relates in one manner or another.

By the was Elisabeth Fraser & Jeff Buckley's All Flower's In Time Bend Towards the Sun is an all time favorite of mine,
as is his solo live version...

Oh, just remembered to mention this: I talked with Todd (guitar guy/Chauntelle's husband) and he positively confirmed that Boyd designed Eisley as the victorious wolf, WB is the rabbit (Bugs) running away, and the red streaks are blood symbolizing the battles with the label. No comment about the log though. Smile

If so that would mark the first time ever that WB took notice of something Eisley did.
