We know 99.999% of you don't live in Tyler but in case the .0000-whatever of you who do: I just tweeted about Eisley doing their traditional Tour kick-off show (no football's allowed). In case u don't twitterpate, here's a direct link to our extinct (poet. know it) brewtones myspace page:

http://mysp.ac/bKWut4

Spread the word, u lovely locals. No, do it now. Stop wasting your time.

The rest of you loco's out there - they'll see u out there on the road. I'll see u only if u come to Tyler, so - I assume most of you will come to Tyler since you know it's really all about me. To prove how important I am - I once played drums at an early-eisley-band show when Weston was too widdle & cudn't pway dwums vewy gud. Told ya'. So, come - just to hang out with me. We can hold hands and skip around and drink ice cold Mountain Dew's together. Good source for high fructose corn syrup and I don't mind if you find out that I'm the fairy that all of Eisley's songs are about.

NOTE: THIS will be the only show on the tour where you'll be able to mingling with the eisleyoids after the show. On headlining tours... (ugh, broken boid record)... u know the drill. It's almost impossible to meet 'um. That whole bit. ok, for those who are new to all this: On headlining tours, the band has no time to hang out or sign or whatever... they play last, try to cool down, de-rez back stage, etc... meanwhile the very-mean security guards start screaming: "ok, listen up! If you're not buying merch or get out!". It sucks but that's the reality. So, in order to meet them (not saying u would care to or want to), you'll have to have a magic wand or have a suitcase of something alluring or be waiting by bus door before they try to embed themselves. The later is what patient fans typically do.

Ok. nite-nite.

Well I guess I'm not going to this tour. I only go to Eisley shows to see Boyd.

Hey Boyd, if I wear my lovely Star Wars stormtrooper armor to the D.C. show, does that get me photo-ops with the band? LOL.

Last time I did that near Halloween was at the 9:30 Club show for Hanson back in 2005. I believe it was Taylor's wife and little boy that came up to me during the show. Never met the band though. Ah well.

^ that made me laugh out loud,
considering a gesture like that is pretty much the only way to meet them.
Thought maybe with the recent changes they'd tweak their strict
meet-n-greet policy is well,
but alas there is not a no-label post-show soiree happening or
a magic pill for getting rid of the "be shy and go hide's"

Of course I say this all half seriously. Love the band, really.

The crossed leg makes the picture. All the Trooper needs is an Ascot and Smoking pipe. Laughing Awesomeness.

I still like the 'Civilized Storm Trooper' the best. Or should I say Suave, or maybe Sophisticated???

All I know is, at some point, I would very much like to use that as a Avatar/ Profile Pick at some point. Mr. Green

i was bad. i abandoned this thread.

well, most of u aren't from here anyway but i figured it was worth mentioning.

For tickets... um... yeah, at the door. Don't worry about this selling out. This band has very few fans in this town. Not that they don't have respect or love or whatever (some haters, sure) but mostly - u know... they live here so nobody cares. And that's fine. Makes for having great little intimate shows.

^ You say that alot, and you would know, you're the manager, but, things are weird these days... Hall & Oates are "IN" again, and not just in a goofy nostalgia way, people are diggin the music again. A new generation of kids and teens are getting their sea legs are far as pursuing their interest in music, and 12 years in a new generation of kids might be ready to dig into some Eisley, even in Tyler. You never know?

All I know is, since starting as a guitar teacher in April on top of working in an k-6 grade school the past 4 years, kids are not like they were when I was in my music fan prime. Kids are like I was in my music fan prime. I'm hoping for a mini-groundswell of support. Plus the promo art is angsty youth friendly Wink
