Last night's show: amazing. Went by so fast. SO fast that I can't remember for sure whether they played Come Clean or not. Order very approximate.

Christie DuPree (with Collin on electric guitar)
Ives the Band
The Envy Corps
Eisley
$15.00

The Valley
Ten Cent Blues
Brightly Wound
Many Funerals
Marvelous Things
Telescope Eyes (acoustic)
Come Clean
Tree Tops
My Lovely
Kind
Go Away
I Could Be There For You
Memories
Invasion
Golly Sandra
Sad
I Wasn't Prepared
Ambulance

Almost no breaks between songs because they wanted to get their set in before the all-ages time allotment elapsed. After seeing the setlist for other shows, I thought this would be less rocking than the Combinations tour with the addition of Tree Tops, My Lovely, I Wasn't Prepared, etc. WRONG. The biggest difference between listening to them on album and seeing them live is the massive presence of the rhythm section IMO. Weston is a monster back there, transforming the quaint marching beat of Tree Tops into indian war drums. Stacy or Sherri mentioned something before the tour about taking time to figure out a setlist that flowed from song to song, and they succeeded. I think I was smiling the whole time.

Spent today assembling the pics & vids I took for you lot. Smile I don't have an online account with a pic site but I do have access to a friend's server, so I'm gonna just post them all here. I made some screencaps to the videos which came out a lot better with the club lighting than the regular pix I took with a flash IMO.

Here we go!

Sherri's pedal setup

Chauntelle's effects extravaganza

The Rhodes has taken a serious beating over the years. I touched it, but very carefully for fear that it would shatter.

Fun to meet up with fellow LCitizen Sully again (we attended to same Eisley show exactly 2 years & 6 months ago, Jamie/Antrider & Nora/Patrock were both at that one too.) Talked about the bands beforehand and then later at Java Joe's next door. He brought an Eisley newbie friend Jessica who ended up buying all CDs they had for sale + several shirts. A fan is born! Here they are.

Me & Sully.

After the Eisley set, I hung around the merch table and talked to Collin, Christie, and Todd for awhile, all just as nice as the other Eisley folk. Then went next door and chatted with Sully & Jessica at Java Joe's while they had their meal, they said goodbye & departed while I finished drinking my hot cider. A few minutes later, in wanders Christie, Collin, Garron, and Sherri. I introduced myself (or re-introduced to some of them) and asked Sherri if I could take her picture, she suggested that Coliin take one of us together. I'm posting this one only because of Sherri's great goofy smile since I look like a homicidal maniac. But there's a reason for that.

Her Twitter followers might've seen that she deleted a Tweet, well Sully & I read it on his iphone and got a good laugh before she trashed it. This is pretty close to what it said:

"These shows on this tour have been my favorite ever...and I love you all.

Except for the two girls in the front row who talked the whole time - I only like you. OK, I loke you.

Sorry. Deleted my tweet griping about the loud-Talkers in the front row tonight. I felt bratty...hey, they paid, they can do what they want."

So I brought that up and we were laughing about it...and that's when Collin snapped that picture. D'oh. Thankfully for my sake we took a second, more dignified pose.

The night before this, they lost power during the 3rd song Brightly Wound and spent about 35 minutes doing acoustic songs or sitting on the stage & talking to the audience. The exact same thing happened last night at the same point of the song, hence Sherri's priceless expression here.

And here. Luckily they sorted out the issue quickly this time.

Chauntelle was the Queen of Darkness all night so it was very difficult to get any good footage of her.

Here come the videos, much better than the ones I got for the Combo tour (better camera) but still the microphone is overloaded when the bass really kicks in. Therefore some are more listenable than others. I happened to capture the moment when the mics went out during Brightly Wound so you can see how that went. Very Happy These files last around 2-3 minutes each and range from 15-30 MB apiece and are FLV format. The new songs are mostly complete, Kind came out much better because it's softer.

The Valley

Ten Cent Blues

Brightly Wound

Tree Tops

My Lovely

Kind

ICBTFY & Memories

Sad

Sweet! I can't wait to really get a look at those pics, and videos (whee!)

Definitely feel the same way about hearing Weston live. Man, the songs sound so much more badass really being able to hear him play. Can't wait to hear how it'll sound on this new album *fingers crossed*

Awesome! Sounds like a great show. My dad asked if I wanted to go but the thought of spending the night at a hotel made me say no. Next time...probably. Laughing

If you want I can upload those videos to EisTube for ya. Smile

Sure, go for it! Cool I just noticed that the Kind video is way out of synch, I split that from another file but apparently the prog didn't do a very good job. Will LYK when I have that fixed.

Glad yallz are enjoying the pix & stories!
