Post subject: Eisley at Brewtones: There's No Place Like Home (Review)
Posted: Fri Feb 04, 2011 3:59 pm Friday, January 28, 2011 Small town Tyler, Texas hasn’t felt so cool, so worldly, so big, or had such a mysterious, enticing presence since the Toadies sang about it. Going on tour (to be joined by Rooney and the Chapin Sisters in February) for the launch of their first album since Combinations (2007), there could be no better place for the band, Eisley, comprised entirely of family members, to start from than home. In fact, the church-converted-into-coffee-shop/concert-venue, Brewtones,http://www.myspace.com/brewtones is where Eisley debuted in 1998. The band has been working on their upcoming album, The Valley (to be released March 1, 2011 on their new, oh-so-perfect-a-fit label, Equal Vision Records), for well over a year. There were hangups during production due to the band’s leaving their previous label, Warner Reprise Records, for their new label, EVR http://www.equalvision.com/artist/Eisley I am pleased to report that fans will, undoubtedly, be very happy with Eisley’s long anticipated, new material.
