Yes and yes.

Ah OK, there's the downside of no liner notes.

Didn't bring up One More Day With You because I wasn't sure how that one got out, if it was something she intended people to hear.

I believe it was part of a writing workshop, and one of the other people who worked on the song put it up. Pretty sure it's kosher.

Yeah, I think she wrote it with a group and one of the people was a Hanson brother? Shoot, I can't believe it's been that long ago.

Boyd posted it around the same time too, and a vastly inferior non-Chauntelle version ended up on a VAST album.

A bit related since lead singer sung their own songs this time (plus, I don't think it's big enough for it's own topic), but did they do a Tegan and Sara on this album and sing their own backing vocals on this album?

Not exclusively, but listening to Sad and Watch it Die as examples, the vocals doing the extra backing parts sound like the same ones doing the lead (second verses especially). It's hard to tell with the mix and there's tons of vocal extras going on, but I was just wondering if anyone else hears that? No big deal, it's just something of interest.

I pointed that out in another thread. I noticed that they did their own backing vocals on some songs, too. Oxygen Mask is another one. Stacy does her own harmonies.

....I can't believe that anyone thought Chauntelle wrote 'Walking In The Air' didn't anyone grow up watching The Snowman? It is played on TV here in the UK EVERY year for as long as I can remember, even have it on DVD. I like Chauntelle's version but nothing can falter the original, perfect Christmas Eve song.

The Snowman was released in 1982 so it's been on in the UK for 29, nearly 30 years (not sure if it has been shown EVERY year, I'm only 22!) so I'm sure it must have been in the USA for quite a few years too if Chauntelle knows it. Watch it if you haven't really beautiful - the snowmen still scare me.

We always have that Rudolf claymation movie. Never had I seen The Snowman - I watched a clip with the song when they posted them.

Yes. The Abominable Snowman in that scared the crayola out of my 5-year-old self. They sure don't make holiday family entertainment that psychologically scarred children like they used to.

Believe it or not I have never heard of The Snowman before but I will seek it out and create a new set of nightmares. Smile

Oh I retract the first bit of that last bit - I just visited your link Catey and I recognize the drawing style, so I have come across some of the images before but haven't seen the film (nor knew what it was called obviously.)

One more: this is a rather interesting thread on IMDB discussing how & why The Snowman is always featured in Britain but not very often in the USA during Christmastime.

Sorry, I must have missed your comment in the other thread! Thanks for replying and validating that I wasn't just hearing things! Wink
