I was thinking. There are alot of people who have done good Eisley cover songs. I remember Ambulance had a whole bunch like a week after it came out. Who here has done any Eisley covers? This could be fun.

I've done covers of If You're Wondering, I Wasn't Prepared, Smarter and We Had Voices. They're just recordings though and they're not great.

I lost all my old Eisley covers when my old computer died. Maybe I'll re-record some.

I did Marvelous Thing ( I know, what an obvious cover to pick ) Embarassed back in 2008, but it have never been posted online, I only ever emailed to someone because it was for them. Then I played a show and it was the only song (amidst some of my best originals ever) that anyone asked me about. A guy in a jam band from Kansas (Audio Spaghetti) said it was "Cool" Cool I need to go back and listen to it, and I may consider re-posting. I'd rather do a song with backing instrumentation instead of voice and acoustic like I did that one, so we'll see. I'll think about a good one to do that won't emasculate me too much.

I've been working out a guitar part that mimics the vocal line and strings for The Valley, and I did mention an imaginary LP3 cover album in that other thread, so why not start here???

Well does anyone know of any well done Eisley covers that other people have done? My favorite band in the world is Bad Religion and i was so excited to find a girl who does acoustic versions of bad religion songs.

And as for Eisley songs KLafied posted Ambulance about a week after the song came out and she has done a few Eisley songs.

ooo, maybe this thread will guide me toward good covers. I don't think I've ever heard an Eisley cover and liked it, but perhaps I'm just missing some.

I did a cover of Blackened Crown... a long time ago. I never posted it and then it died along with my computer a few years back. I have no intentions of doing anything else like that ever again. It's for the better. Razz

The front side is real good but near the middle to the end she falls apart. nice voice but it could have been more polished. And i don't get why she starts to cry at the end.

^ maybe it's better we don't know. The idea of that song and the way it can relate to people's lives is really loaded. It's bittersweet.

I'm looking on youtube and i'm getting the idea that more people have made bad covers than good ones.

Seriously. God bless Eisley fans but they put out some iffy tributes.
