Becoming a mod for Strange Yellow Patterns? You'd update with any news and (if you wanted to) the gallery. Just let us know in this thread and we'll see what happens. Smile

I can think of one person right off the bat that's always breaking news around here, and I'd nominate them, if you're allowing nominations.

That person is none other than:

Man In The Moon

heh, and he beat me to replying, so that's just another feather in his cap.

So yeah, I vote for MITM for SYP Mod.

Cool

Well, if you're serious and at least more active than I have been the past year or so then just PM me. I still need to work on how it will work since our CMS is a little strange and getting Chad to upgrade it is near impossible (I tried to do it once and broke the site).

Aaand I forgot to mention that there can be more than one mod.

Well I'm afraid the lack of help with the site kind of backs up my thinking that SYP is dead. I doubt it will go down but probably wont be getting any kind of updates or news posts. But, since I don't think anyone would care if the site was around or not I'm not too concerned.

What's the world coming to?

What if you delegate certain activities?
Great
Mr. Pine is big on getting audio & video, and in the past SYP has been the main outlet for getting that stuff other than directly from the band or retail, if I were building a team, that would be my recruit.

Man in the Moon is great at keeping up with current events on releases and tours so I would tap him for the breaking news feed.

Marshking's Daughter is a emedia pro, and I would trust her with promoting syp across social media

Antirider is the equivalent of our veteran white house correspondent who's got the inside track with the administration, i'd go to him for exclusives.

"And i'll form the head!"

Laughing

Yeah, i forgot to mention that i will help in some capacity. I am a on again, off again music writer after all, and SYP seems a good place for a couple of feature type interview pieces i've been sitting on, including the interview via email that never happened this summer...

I would enjoy doing an EGM-( Electronic Gaming Monthly ) album review series with a panel of 4 reviews each rating an album based on their own tastes. We can focus on projects related to, or that evoke Eisley references.

Okay well whoever wants to help out in any way can just PM me and I'll try to get it working. Smile I really like the idea of having multiple people helping out with the site. Team SYP!

The only realy big huge issue is that I have no way of actually updating the sites CMS and Chad is MIA and it's really frustrating because the site would function better and I'm gonna go cry now. (but not really cry just be uber annoyed)

The only real reason I don't think I can do the update is because Chad has all the site info and such. I can log into the back-end side of the site through Joomla or use the FTP. But, my control of the site is kind of limited to that. Also, I reallllly dont want to have to re-upload anything to the site so using a migration tool might help it also $50 (which I can pay but I think there's site info I don't have). If Chad would answer my texts this would be easy to solve. Confused
