Awesome new section on Strange Yellow Patterns that Wil created. We just posted the first piece.

http://strangeyellowpatterns.com/memories/621-memories-vol-1

Strange Yellow Patterns wrote:
Welcome to Memories, the column on Strange Yellow Patterns where we look back at the music of Eisley from years gone by. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing, as is context, and Memories is an opportunity to indulge in both. Our first conversation is with Jamie whom some know as the Antrider. He has the distinction of being statistically the most active Eisley fan that I know of. It would be fair for me to credit him for encouraging me to be more active in the Eisley fan community, via a simple request for more activity amongst the fans. Sometimes the simplest requests are all that are needed to get an outpouring of action. Such a request, from the second most active Eisley fan that I know of is the reason this column even exists. All that said, it’s only fitting that our first conversation in Memories be with Jamie, who has captured so many with his stunning photography of Eisley over the years.

Also, if you're on Tumblr feel free to reblog it (please)! http://strange-yellow-patterns.tumblr.com/post/64659033733/memories-vo l-1-by-wil

I think 50% of that awesome goes to Antrider Smile
40% goes to Norad Cool
5% me, all I did was ask questions. Wink

Thanks for this! Living in a country where Eisley isn't hearded too much, I had few opportunities to talk to someone (or in this case, read a discussion) about Eisley in its early days. It's very nice to me (and funny too) knowing experiences from older fans. I hear Eisley since 2006 - since then they had turned my favorite band - and that statements from years prior to this are very enriching for me. Very Happy

Thanks for checking out the article and the positive feedback. People think a good interview is largely in the questions you ask, but the interviewee makes the interview. A good interviewee can take the worst questions and turn them into a very entertaining /or engrossing exchange. Jamie is that kind of person.

The plan is to do the interviews with different contributors and cover all their works. We're going to do the major EPs first. Be on the lookout for more content coming soon. We've got some good ideas in the works.

Thanks. More content is on the way. I'm just stumped on creating cartooney avatars. To think, I used to be an illustrator first and foremost before all other things artistically... for shame.

On the short-term embedding youtube player into an article would be the quickest way to get the video posted.

I will work on it soon then.

It's nothing special. So if I do it and it doesn't work, I am ok with it being scrapped.
