i think mosseisley is great! it's incredible to see all the doors God has opened for them! God has so much in store for you guys!!! so i keep reading that mossiesley is "unnamed". so they are indeed going to have to change the name? what happened? just wondering cause i thought that was all worked out. peace out

yeah, but i dont really think lucas cares.. i mean first of all, in the movie and script it's spelled MOS EISLEY.. secondly, what about bands like nerf herder..they have freggin' luke skywalker in their music video, and nothing happens.. no big deal, right? so it really shouldnt be much of a problem. at least, that's my interpretation |

aww, you guys are so cool. yah, to little frog....it's a long saga. mos eisley is spaceport mentioned in first movie - on planet tattooine when Luke and Obi Wan were in route to Alderon seeking transportation (hans)..the spaceport with cool musicians is the reference...remember? But this band is not like some star wars freaks or whatever. It was just a phonetic sound...named by Sherri's boyfriend at the time - Taylor Muse who's in a cool band in nashville called "The Connotations". The name was fine on the local scene level...worked ok in the dallas market - fine up until labels started showing interest - attorneys got involved - said we should change it....the band worked for 100's of hours to cough up "neverland" - then they determined there were conflicts - not to mention Michael Jackson's ranch is called Neverland - you know...where questional things took place? ahhhhh!!!!, so the first round of attorneys said, OK to use Mosseisley....you're clear....cool.....so we said "we hereby anchor in this name and will never change it!!" ouch. Then we found out WB/Nettwerk hired the best attorneys at that point to make sure they could protect it.... opps. nope. And there are other bands in the world that could block us in those markets...like, the UK!!? (this band will be there in August) not cool. and Lucas could sue and win. Dave Holmes, manager "called it" - he just said, "enough"..."we'll face this forever..." So here we are. Egg on face....writing a saga of history that will be connected to this band forever. I call it a history lesson. For that reason, we won't announce ANY name change until it's so locked in...we'd bet our mother's life on it. stay tuned. this week for sure.
