let me rephrase this, so no one takes it wrong... a tree fell on our shed. dad dropped his laptop and ruined it. the tree smashed our trampoline. the end. _________________ "Strange I'm skinny when I'm standing but I'm Buddha when I sit" -Say Anything My dumb photos for fun. http://flickr.com/photos/photostoshare1/ A bit of the art... http://www.flickr.com/photos/sherrisink/ Older art... http://img23.photobucket.com/albums/v68/slitgizzard/ArtWork/ |

Well...I'm thankful that the tree fell on our shed, and not our neighbors house, however, as Sherri stated, ain't no dough to pay the insurance deductible to fix what ever damage that has caused, (we can't really see in the dark), and, no dough to fix the compooter. (spelled wrong on purpose) Sometimes, life just feels like this On the bright side...we are all ok, and I'm thankful for that. Boyd looks like this right now |

Sometimes, life just feels like this On the bright side...we are all ok, and I'm thankful for that. Boyd looks like this right now i hadn't thought about that! i was just thinking about his computer...not about the neighbors or anything. that is good...but it would be better if the tree hadn't fallen in the first place... tell him we're working on it! _________________ Shay LeAnn/potatomonstahh/We Are The We www.facebook.com/shay.tidwell |

we got caught in the movie theatre during the storms tonight. they stopped all the movies and sent everyone to theatre 5. where "The Day After Tomorrow" had been playing. that seems to me not to be the wisest of choices. but i do love my irony, so i laughed and gladly took the free ticket they gave me. then they re-started the movies. so i got 2 for one. which means i'll send a dollar if it's needed. PM me if something gets organized. (I'll post this over in sherri's thread where this seems to be growing as a discussion.) _________________ -Levi http://www.leviweaver.com |

Kimbrtones, You should setup a spot on EisleyMerch called "Help Buy Boyd a SuperComputer"... or something like that. I don't want to diminish any one else's kindness in setting donations or stuff up, but I just figured the store is a perfect place. I'm looking for a computer myself but I'd much rather put some money towards helping boyd out. considering all the hard work and sleepless drives he does for Eisley and us fans. stupid trees falling down... can't they learn to stay standing. _________________ |

Quote: I find it kinda hard to believe that even not having a laptop could keep boyd away from the forum.... True... one might argue that he'd be able to use another DuPree's laptop... but being a Mac user like myself I fully understand the pain. Fully customized, it's an extension of who he is. Gettin a little deep here. I know. Us Mac people get attached to such things. *sad*, but true. lol The thing is, he's lost is ability to communicate to fans, to create & post videos, perhaps listen to some of his music while working on all the stuff he does for Eisley and has done for us without sleep, without second thought. I'm all up for helping a man who gives his all for the soul purpose of bringing joy to those around him and for doing so much for Eisley. _________________ |

Maybe I'm a pessimist, but I think this whole donation thing is going a little far. Most here are kids and are probably donating their paper route money. I know Boyd does alot for Eisley and the fans, but part of that is just the sacrifices you make simply for being in a band. |
