Naked!...Yes it seems true! Just like the Beatles.
Has anyone gotten the chance to listen to The fly on the wall cd for the Beatles Let it be Naked release? Its mostly made up of open mics when the great fab four were recording. At this time (during the recording of let it be) the band was already considered the greatest rock band ever assembled but they seemed to feel the same way boyd has expressed. Lennon says in his great brittish accent "everytime we do an album we say why are we stuck here at EMI! why dont we, we could be doing it in LA, we could be in France! and everytime we do it, and here we are again, building another bloody castle around us...and not only would we be doing it physically making the album there but it takes all our weight of wheres the gimmick where is it, cause you know Gods the gimmick" I just thought of this quote right away when boyd said it felt so good to be at Rosewood. The Beatles didnt seem to have felt the comfort of a home studio, but they did seem to feel the uncomfortable disconnect with the EMI studio. Lennon also went on to say how it seemed to hinder their creativity. seems like Eisley felt that at least to some extent at the LA studio, and im so glad to hear that the first two days at Rosewood studio were apparently extreamely productive and more importantly enjoyable.
Just wanted to remind our Boyd and our beloved Eisley that they are not alone. Even the Beatles went through what you have, even late in their career.
