YAY! we got em to play eisley!
Leila and Matt, a radio program on University of Maryland's WMUC radio station played two Eisley songs tonight upon my request (Marvelous Things and Telescope Eyes) after receiving the cds, i think from Chad. It was a team effort, but we all banded together and spread Eisley to the great DC metropolitan area. What's this? September 10 they'll be in DC? Well hot damn, just in time! MWAHAHAHAHAHA

Awesome!

I wish I could have been part of that group effort - my shyness just takes over sometimes and I just turn into a hopeless lump of matter.

wow! Good for you, thats super cool!
i wish i could get them on the radio by me, but the radio sucks terribly around here.....
what kind/genre-of-music of station did you get them on?

but ive been trying to spread the word. i just bought Marvelous things for my friend who doesnt like music, i thought this would be the perfect gateway for her into music, cause Eisley is so wonderful that everyone likes them!

a loose network of boardies constantly trying to get Eisley on the radio. beautiful.

its a college radio station, they play "indie" music anyway, so Eisley was really a no brainer. They had on some Muse and some Jeff Buckley and Iron & Wine, eclectic in the sense that nothing is mainstream. hahaha.

I got them played at my school's radio station. My best friend has a show on there and borrowed my CD's, so my other friend and I kept calling in with requests. They played Marvelous Things. Who cares if the only listeners were the two who requested, and probably the radio teacher? Cool

you guys are capital A. I can't fathom such loyal teamwork. now if there were only enuf eisley fans in the area to request it to be played some more. hey, you could tell them about the upcoming show at the 9:30 club. wait, is that the market you're in? we did the 9:30 in D.C. last trip.

I have Sirius radio at work (satellite radio, like XFM), so I sent in an email request for them to play Marvelous Things and they wrote back and said they would play it, and that the DJ (onair at the time) really like the band. Thought that was pretty cool...

That's an amazing accomplishment since their own hometown of Tyler, TX, radio won't play them, or even knows anything about them.
They're more famous in Dallas, 2 hours east of here, than they are in Tyler!

Great job guys!

Thanks from all of us!
