Whether or not it is ever heard again on any future albums, I still love "blackened crown". Out of all of Eisley's tunes it is perhaps my favorite. Wished they could've played it on the tour, but alas... I have my iPod on random and it just now came up and having not heard it for so long, it felt just as good (if not better, now after seeing Eisley live) than I remember. And while making a trip to Starbucks no less... Smile

Just felt like sharing.

Cheers!

i sense that when Eisley headlines their next tour, they'll play EVERYTHING they've ever written in one mass of crazy greatness. Blackened Crown may very well make a reappearence. i'll tell you i'd like to see it reappear briefly.

they've definitely grown since then. no doubt about it. you can hear the difference... and I love their new stuff - don't get me wrong. it's just so nice that as a band their songs don't get old, in my opinion. a lot of bands change so much during their transition to making full length albums... primarily from pressures above. eisley now still feels very much like the eisley then... and i like that.

As for the song itself ... I just like the simplicity of the song. The version that it is , before all the extra ipod / ibook add-ons of new, before the synths and whatnot, is just a beautiful song.

It really is a good song. I enjoy it no matter how much they've grown since then. But hey, if they don't want to play it anymore, I'm not going to put a gun to their heads and force them.

i like blackened crown because it IS simple, but it strikes a chord, such emotion, written by such young artists, and put to equally simple yet effective music, it's really impressive.

i also like it because i can actually play it on the piano...

This is also one of my favorite songs by them... I think it would be awesome if they played all of their old songs when they headline next time.
Wish my keyboard was working so that I could learn BC!

"Blackened Crown" definitely sticks out from Eisley's other songs. It's in my top three favorites, I think.

I played it for a friend who'd never heard Eisley, and he was blown away.
