i know people don't like comparing one band to another, butttt... does anyone else think that eisley's lyrics are similar to jeff mangum's (neutral milk hotel) or colin meloy's (the decemberists.) not so much the content, but the style. their diction, word choice. it hit me today when i was reading the words to lady of the wood. "oh, a pretty broken wrist was clutched under her fist. her ankles were all wound about a silver gown." i mean, come on. not many other people write like that. i don't want to take away from their originality because they are extremely original. i just thought it was cool. or something. xoxo conor _________________ A POEM ABOUT LOVE AND HATE IN THE INFORMATION AGE by jonathon newby 10010111000101101001 10010010101010101001101010 1010010110LOVE101001001 100101011010010010101001 11010010100101010101010 0101100101HATE0101001010 01001010010101001010. |
