so i was in Tyler this morning, and I stopped by Best Buy. Of course, knowing how Eisley is Tyler's hometown heroes, I figured I'd see what the stock was looking like. of course, there was nothing there so i improvised..put a cd or two in that space that might be of interest to Eisley fans... *not tellin' you WHAT I put there, you'll just have to go see for yerself* _________________ "Die Sonne scheint noch" -- Sophie Scholl <3 <3 <3 |

Tyler doesn't really care about Eisley that much, or even really know about Eisley....and that's, OK. No Rose Queen's in my bunch not yet, that is...not yet... and to those who know, you guys certainly are! but i know what you mean, though. when i lived in lubbock, it was shocking to see how little they cared about Buddy Holly. took 'em 50 years to get a museum built for him..but the Word does say, 'a prophet is not without honor save in his own hometown' 'rose queen, rose queen...can't you see that you're so pretty...' (it just popped into me head...) _________________ "Die Sonne scheint noch" -- Sophie Scholl <3 <3 <3 |

No Rose Queen's in my bunch That makes me feel better about not being aware of them until I began to listen to Brand New... since I am from New London - I guess that is considered to be near Tyler. I was always angry that I missed out on the many performances in Tyler... since I came from a musically-deprived background. I'm happy that I know about them these days. That reminds me, I did see a Laughing City in the Hastings and Best Buy in College Station... Though I have met very few people who know of them... maybe I am meeting the wrong people... _________________ Kyle |

All of this reminds me of buying my first Eisley EP - the wonderful Marvelous Things... I got it at the Best Buy in Tyler and was angry that I couldn't find Laughing City. I went to pay and the girl working at the counter said, "Eisley... My friend loves them... It's crazy..." Having almost given up hope, I went to Hastings - where I found Laughing City... I rejoiced... That was at the beginning of this year... I didn't realize how long ago that was. I just thought I would share. _________________ Kyle |
