i have returned. the unending stream of video's are making me gouge medulla. mtv's top video is the Maroon 5 song for 2 weeks in a row. I think the song is catchy, but I get pissed off at the lead singer having sex with his girlfriend on screen. how convenient...and exploitive...how that must "sell". Evanescence is #2. I'm sure it's the ticket to big fame and dollars, but I find myself hoping that eisley doesn't get lumped into the mindless stream... not that their music wouldn't be a welcome contrast; I can't see them fitting in, really. But someone might fit them in. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. baffled. If Eisley, why not Coldplay or Fire Theft or Midlake or Travis... but, hey... much appreciated. I'm not trying to do an identity alignment, it's just - eisley is a creative band...encompassing all aspects of life and the cosmos...etc. I appreciate that TUV is cool playing their songs without some ridgid JWPM (Jesus words per minute) though they've never written music for the Christian market. It shows that there's hope for good art in that market. Don't mean to sound condescending...but it's awesome. Boyd, you are my kind of guy!! Squirly wrote: its a cool song, and i think the video fits it fairly,, but then i wonder if it would be as successful if the video werent what it is.. With a HOOK like that, no, the sex in the video is NOT necessary... Have you seen the guys LIVE??? THey put on a heck of a show, but I pegged the lead singer right off as having an ego the size of TEXAS....does not surprise me one bit to see him undressing....he reeks of himself...but they are an INCREDIBLE band.... _________________ "sometimes I doubt your commitment to SPARKLE MOTION!!"
