i used to despise it. but if you have another half it gives you an excuse to do crzy things... do you think I would get up at 6 in the morning, travel across the city for about 1 hr, and give her breakfast in bed on any other day? I don't think so. This time draws near again, it's been almost a year. I still hate Valentine's day. It's a load of swindling. That, and I'm always single. PEH! 
The only Valentine's gift I've ever gotten was from a friend. The chocolates were good, but the card called me a "baby eater." Stupid card companies mooching off of love and making us single people feel bad. I curse them. _________________

I don't despise it. I just think if you need a "holiday" to show appreciation to your loved one then something is wrong. Everyday should be like valentines day. _________________

Can't stand the commercialism of it 50 -70 bucks for 12 flowers that are gonna be dead in a few days. I convinced my wife about 4 years ago that Valentines day was for suckers and we would make a special day that we would celebrate just for us. (1st weekend in March). Since she bought it we just save the extra dates and and flowers and stuf for when the cards are all 1/2 price and the flowers are back to a normal price
