Coldplay Updates on Dates

Indie ep We just got the first mixes of all 6 songs yesterday. Look at my expression. I will give you no expression. You cannot read me. Ignore the foot imprint....I will stare you down. So anyway, the band is making pages of notes relating to levels, mix, ideas, etc for the Dave/Darin and Mike Mogis team. The record will be released on Derrwood Records in Spring. One song must be dropped. To be an ep, it has to have 5 songs for some reason. Don't get your hopes up for Over the Mountains We Go. See it live...

Local Shows People are thinking that just beause of the label thing and the Coldplay thing, this no-named band will now be taken away in their long white Limousine, will hop on their chrome tour bus - never to play shows in Deep Ellum. Yes. This is true. Goodbye.

Bookings No seriously...(a funny JOKE); For example, last night's show at the Curtain Club was booked by Drew McNeel - just like always on the Curtain Club side and through new agent: Marty Diamond with Little Big Man on the band side. (BLM books Coldplay, Avril Lavigne, Our Lady Peace...Polyphonic Spree...Sigur Ros and plenty of other cool bands...but notice they realize that formerly MossEisley is a small unproven act and isn't too cool to be a part of the Dallas music scene. If anything, they'll want to expand the market and not oversaturate in DFW...naturally. Just making sure eveyone knows. We are in transition so please be patient.

Coldplay Dates I just posting all 16 major market US/Canada dates that MossEisley will be playing with Coldplay and Richard Ashcroft. As you can imagine, the young band about pee'd in their pants when they found out some of the venues...like the Hollywood Bowl in LA and Madison Square Garden in NY - some are 20,000 seaters. No rock stars here. I swear. Just thankful to the Coldplay guys for the invitation. Well, and none of these opportunities would be possible without Dave Holmes who manages both bands for Nettwerk

-Just yanked these off Coldplay's site and also found little pieces of MossEisley on thier site - for example:

Rumors of Signings You guys have known about Nettwerk Management: ( http://www.nettmanagement.com ) for sometime now, but it's official. You can go to their site and see the link...even refresh enough to see the teenage band on the front page if you want! We love these guys too much. (woo-hoo)

And, yes, the band with no name did officially signed with Warner Brothers ( http://www.warnerbrosrecords.com ) last Tuesday February 11, 2003 - 3 months after the first label scouts saw them on Nov. 15th at the NTNMF. The decision was locked in with WB and unofficial announcements were made the eve of Jan 6, 2003 (7 weeks after NTNMF)

And not least, the band is officially being booked by agent: Little Big Man ( http://www.littlebigman.com ) along with a booking agent for other markets like the UK by Craig Strange: http://213.86.54.17/helterskelter/

This concludes the scoop. There are Festivals now booked below and i included a bunch recent press in case anyone is new to the forum. Appreciate all you wonderful people. We're huge fans of yours. No joke.

Photographers that just photographed the band:
(Allison has a few on her site...she's amazing. Check out new "Quincy" image - her personal friend. But, Kevin is from London, has a portfolio that's intimidating - and I doubt he'll put this little band's images on his site. You'll see why when you go there.)
