Boyd recently made a post about them working on it. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

from the comments.. Quote: So, is the 2nd record cycle coming to a quick close?

edit: .. and here are some insteresting, i think, questions from bigideas.. bigideas wrote: i don't understand demoing in a studio.
(i just record at home on my computer, so i have no idea). is it like you record something pretty much live as a band (and a less than perfect take doesn't really matter), send those to the label and if they're enthusiastic they float you more cash to record more in depth, flesh it out, i.e. record each part track by track to make it just right? boyd wrote: They demo in garage band... Studio demos can be hybrid - somewhere in between song crafting and recording a single; It encompasses the entire creative process... pre-production... And for eisley it's sans-producer. When you need new songs to pack much punch (I.e. have great influence), you demo in the studio. Keep in mind that anything from basic tracts to the entire mixed song might be keepers for a full length.
This next recording episode will have no boundaries, no label influence, nothing but pure unadulterated Eisley and Rosewood Studios. I am hereby now branding songs produced by the two entities as Eis-Wood recordings. bigideas wrote: have all Eisley songs originated from a Stacy, Sherri, or Stacy/Sherri demo?
for example - has the band ever recorded a 'jam session' and then cut out an interesting snippet, looped it and then written melody/lyrics on top of it? or weston/garron find a groove and then someone write on top of that? boyd wrote: big ideas - i'm pretty sure that all songs to date have originated from the scribblings and musical meanderings of sherri and stacy. There are, however, great contributions from the other members when they put the songs together... normal stuff like grooves, beats, guitar parts, chords, breaks, etc. In fact - as I'm thinking about this answer - I hear that Weston has been writing some beats at the girls request and give them to the girls. Not sure how that's been going; no matter... the songs keep coming.

Eisley is doing the soundtrack for the new Mario Brothers game! Onto video games, baby!! Chiptunes! (I actually used to work with a guy who did those for a living. He was interesting.) |
