wait, we get a digital copy too? so...and you know how much i talk about file sharing...what is the difference between someone giving them a download link from the email, and just finding a download link of your own? they are both files on a server somewhere. both are not the persons it is intended for. _________________ Wil's excellent description of me. wilsmith wrote: You're the Anti-Censorship+Topless Twitpic Parodying+Youth Group Video Directing guy that's a champion for the 1st amendment, Videogames as Art, and unrepentant file sharing... When you buy Vinyl most vendors give you a download card good for 1 digital copy of the album. It's your copy, you can give it to whoever you please, but it's only good for one copy, it's not a reusable link. It's the a counterpart to the Vinyl. You're relinquishing the digital version of the album and limiting your use to the physical media. Now, if you get a cd, rip it, and share, you've made a copy that wasn't purchased by converting it to another type of media. Distributing that is sharing something you weren't intended to have, that isn't protected in any fashion. Oh, and I expect that the Valley will probably go on sale on Amazon when it comes out for between 3.99-6.99 digital, which is not much to split among a few dozen fans _________________ yup, that's my name. ^You can give that Physical cd to whoever you want to, not a copy of it. The legal issue is reproduction rights of the copyrighted material. You don't own the music on the cd. You own the cd itself. You have bought access to the content by purchasing the media. _________________ yup, that's my name. FOR YOUR RATING PLEASURE: 4 LIKE Buttons, 1 NEUTRAL, 1 VEXED, 5 DISLIKE buttons. well played. i too like to play devil's advocate. Real Tri-quarters are coming, just you wait. But they're gonna look silly by having communicators be a separate device, in the long run _________________ yup, that's my name. that's how it's spelled eh? okay, gonna Geek ALL THE WAY OUT now! I recorded this on VHS back in the day, and Freshmen year played the first part of the episode to my roommates to get them hyped up... The context of the song is what made it so dramatic so why not watch it??? _________________ yup, that's my name. FOR YOUR RATING PLEASURE: 4 LIKE Buttons, 1 NEUTRAL, 1 VEXED, 5 DISLIKE buttons.
