This is reaffirming one thing that i've always known, but never put into words:

Eisley is an album band, not a singles band. Their best songs stand out when ou hear them apart from an album, but they aren't so over the top that they are sore thumbs. The catch is that sometimes those songs end up on albums woth other songs that feel like they belong to another album, so the continuity of the albums is varied, and sometimes not as fluid for people who enjoy a continuous vibe/ style. I think EP2, the 03' EPs, Deep Space and Currents are the works that flow in that way.

S the sode effect is a discograhy loaded with gems if taken part from the releases because either:

A. The song is on an album that some people feel doesn't hold together ( a common complaint i heard aout Combinations and The Valley)

B. the song is on a release that some feel doesn't vary enough from a certain sound or style.

If eisley did a boxset like BoB Marley's Songs of Freedom where the songs are organized by chronology and mood/ production values. That is an amazing collection and defined how i listened to albums and my taste.

1. Marvelous Things

2. Ambulance

3. Lost at Sea

4. If You're Wondering

5. Many Funerals

Now that I realize, I don't think there is any particular order to my list. A few seconds ago Marvelous Things was my all time favorite and now Many Funerals has taken the lead. I think I'm gonna go listen to If You're Wondering just to see what happens.

The votes are also flooding in for Telescope Eyes. Wink

However if it wasn't for that song and cool video I might not have heard of Eisley for awhile longer. I still like it.
