so i just got back from atlanta after seeing the show last night.

notes:

i've never seen a couple so passionate on stage before, i was really moved by sherri and max's performance on the perma songs. they played two of a crime, bat and the cave, little light, let's start a band, and another one which i don't remember. i wish they did you're welcome.

anywho, sherri's set was great. my only complaint is that i wish she had some stuff to play that was apart from eisley and more solo (not counting white christmas nightmare). her set was many funerals, marvelous things, better love, mr. moon, blue fish, wicked child, and white christmas nightmare. blue fish and wicked child were both highlights, and colin and christie came out and played during wicked child. also, sherri has some interesting rhythm guitar work which only makes me hope she does a solo thing at some point soon.

edit-

i also got audio from max and perma's set as well as most of the audio for sherri's set, except for many funerals and marvelous things. it's all on my phone and i'll look through it sometime soon.

Sherri audio:

perma audio:

there's some shuffling here and there from me taking my phone out of my pocket. the perma set also happened in the middle of max's set.

So, now that school is out you need to get on over to SYP and join the fun. Wink

Are you game to be interviewed for a Memories column? It would be for the Marvelous Things EP.

Also, I am a firm believer in Sherri's rhythm guitar playing, and honestly, as much as I like them all being creative outside of the group, I would also like to hear her individual parts on Eisley songs with her guitar in the forefront of the mix, with a band backing her as much as I would new songs.

I look forward to checking out this audio, thanks for coming through on that front!

It would be easier for me to tell if her guitar wasn't always mixed so low, or in some cases, near inaudible. I guess they have their reasons, but I feel like I'm being deprived. Like buying Lucky Charms and they skimp on the Purple Horseshoes.
