I think he meant it was strange that an obscure band like Eisley would be the subject of someone's phishing scheme or virus distribution over BitTorrent.

In any case, The Valley isn't on Indie Exchange yet, so it hasn't leaked. Smile

Oh, yea that is weird I guess.

Though I don't think Eisley is as obscure at some would say. I saw them listed in a jukebox at some random coffee shop Razz

Snarkiness aside, it could be somebody who was planning to buy 10 cd's at a show and sell em for big profits.

that was my first thought - partly because i remember the grief the band had when somebody brought a stack of posters to a signing then put them up on ebay.thus, that wouldn't really be unprecedented.

but after clicking the link, it really just seems that this guy will just buy ten cd's on release day, hoping that he'll make profit. absolutely harmless.

and, of course, ridiculous. it makes no logical sense whatsoever to pay more for a cd that will arrive much later than you could actually get it. heigh-ho. i'm calling this one a heroic failure, but that may be premature.

maybe he hopes it will sell out like game consoles at Christmas. Folks were buying PS3s for $700 that year they came out.
