Why don't you ladies play head against the sky? You didn't play it when I saw you at the garden in NYC and I never see it on set lists. That song is amazing, one of my personal favorites and any time I play it for someone they fall in love with it. It's a life go of mine to direct the video for it someday so save it for the second album.

I fancy me some "Blackened Crown."

I think Eisley played Head Against The Sky at BrewTones......... maybe. I can't remember.

But I know there wasn't any "Blackened Crown" to be heard. Sad

Maybe next time.....

i think they forgot head against the sky... thats what they say at the shows whenever i scream and shout and holler for it... it makes me sad. but at least we have marvelous things and trollywood. those two songs are also amazing.

i do miss HATS though (i think its neat to make acronyms out of song names... especially ones that spell the word "hats")... twas a great song. it shall be sorely missed...

unless, of course, the decide to you know *hint hint* play it again... sometime... soon... Wink

You know how it is....after performing the same songs for 2 years, you
start to feel like you're drying up; so a song get's pruned; another one
pops up... more pruning... and before long, thick, green foleage and
robust blooms spring up that crowd your view; the clipped stems become
hidden scars. memories....or photographs in this case. My guess is...
lately the plant has had so much growth that the gardeners have moved
on. They're planting more Musical Seeds Wink boyd

Please, Please, Please play head against the sky. Then I'll go get you guy's the best slice of pizza in new york. Or the best frozen mochachino. Your pick.

This is amusing... since I heard Telescope Eyes the first time I saw them, over a year and a half ago... but Head Against the Sky didn't come till later... and Telescope Eyes is like... THE song to play now. Except it's all different. So I dunno.

If the band had their way, Telescope Eyes would not be one that they put in their sets on a regular basis. It has become the one people have requested, so that's why it gets the play.

Basically, this is an artists problem. An artist is never happy with a piece they create. They either want to continue to try and change it, or move onto another piece.

Take, "the Winter Song", they quit doing that song because Weston didn't like it. I had to specially request the song at their BrewTones show. I love it. I think the "la la la la" harmonies are so moving.

Here we go back to that, "eye of the beholder thing" Rolling Eyes

I don't know exactly where this Brand New tour will take them but surely a pit stop will be NY, right?

It seems like I have a years worth of video where the band played Head Against the Sky at every show...maybe I'm on drugs; Nettwerk/WB loves that song also.

So basically what you are saying, Kim, is that if we request it loud and long and so many times that they get annoyed with us and want to slap us off the face of the earth into the slightly curved horizon then they might just maybe play it?!

im all over that like brown on wild rice. until marvelous things came out Head Against the Sky was my favorite Eisley song.
